IPL 2022 Mega Auction: The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is currently underway, and the cash-rich league has created some exciting excitement. Fans aren't staying at the stadium because of the harsh conditions of a deadly pandemic, but the board hasn't left any stones to make things exciting for fans watching TV and cell phones. However, most fans are already excited about the next IPL season, especially the Mega IPL 2022 auction, so here's a detailed breakdown, teams, new rules and more for the IPL 2022 auction.
When will the IPL 2022 Mega Auction take place?
There are currently no BCCI details, but the Mega IPL 2022 auction may take place between December 2021 and January 2022. IPL usually starts in the March-May window. Alternatively, you can extend it earlier inJune week.Will there be some new Franchises/ Teams in the IPL 2022?
Yes, two news teams will be added to the current eight franchise groups. The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce has already revealed that the two new teams will be merged. According to most media, the city of Ahmedabad will get concessions, but Lucknow and Kanpur may be the second new franchise.
BCCI recently confirmed that bidding documents to identify two new IPL concessions will be issued in mid-August.
Giants of large companies, including the Kolkata-based RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group and the Hyderabad-based Eurobindo Pharma Ltd. The Adani Group is headquartered in Ahmedabad. The Torrent Group is interested in owning the IPL franchise.
BCCI has listed six cities as finalists, and two of these six cities will finally join the IPL team. These cities are Guwahati, Ranch, Kathak (from the east), Ahmedabad (from the west), Lucknow (from the central region) and Dharamsala (from the north).
IPL 2022 New rules for mega auction?
Currently, there is no official description of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction update, but the introduction of two new franchises is expected to make some changes to existing rules.
Under the new rules, franchises can only hold three players. There may be 4 players. Two Indian players and one foreign player, or one Indian player and two foreign players.
The board also stated that all players except those held will be sold at the auction table.
This can be seen in the Mumbai Indians (MI) example. The franchise wants to hold Rohit Sharma (Captain), Jasplit Pomura, Haldik Pandia, and Kiron Polard / Trentbolt. With the exception of these four players, all other Mumbai cricket players go to the auction table, after which bids are determined by their new franchise.
Update: The IPL franchise can hold 4 players (3 Indians and 1 overseas, or 2 Indians and 2 overseas players) prior to the IPL 2022 mega auction.
