Men's World Boxing ChampionshipsIndia lost the rights to host the 2021 Men's World Boxing Championships to Serbia on Tuesday after the International Boxing Association claimed that the national federation had not paid host fees, which claimed that AIBA "acted in haste".The Indian Boxing Association acknowledged the delay but blamed "procedural complications" arising out of AIBA's failure to solve "problems" regarding the account to which the funds would be transferred. An estimated $ 4 million was due to be made on December 2 last year.“After New Delhi failed to fulfill its obligations to pay the host fees as stated in the terms of the host city agreement, AIBA terminated the contract. Therefore, India will have to pay a cancellation fine of $ 500,000,” said in a statement. The elite competition, which would have happened for the first time in the country, will be held in the Serbian city of Belgrade."Serbia has everything to organize a major event for athletes, coaches, officials and, of course, for boxing fans," said Mohamed Moustahsane, AIBA President.BFI is chaired by Ajay Singh, who also owns Spicejet Airlines. AIBA has been suspended by the IOC due to poor financial management.“The AIBA account was frozen in Lausanne. AIBA was planning to make some previous payments through an account in Serbia. Since Serbia is on the gray list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF countries), Indian banks do not usually do so by sending money to Serbia. AIBA may not solve these problems, "read statement from BFI to PTI."We have reason to believe that the decision to relocate the WCH-2021 was taken quickly without proper consultation with the BFI ... the punishment is shocking and surprising."Both sides are working towards a friendly settlement. BFI is confident that the penalty will be suspended and that we will host the world championship in the future," he added. The National Authority held the Women's World Championship in 2018 and won the rights to host the Asian Championships later this year just a few weeks ago.AIBA said she was glad to have found a new host for the event, which will take place in the Olympic year now that the Tokyo Games have been postponed in light of the COVID-19 pandemic."It is a major step towards the new competition system and also the financial stability of our organization, which will depend less and less on Olympic funds," said Mustafa."Because of the rescheduling of the 2020 Olympics, the AIBA Executive Committee will discuss with the host country the possible dates to adjust," he added."We believe that we will maintain the planned schedule and will hold the world championship in 2021 after the Games if the pandemic situation is under control." The head of the Serbian Boxing Federation Nenad Borovcanin welcomed the Championship back to Belgrade after 43 years."After the 1978 historical championship in the capital, Yugoslavia, this is the second time that our nation has returned as a host. I firmly believe that the Serbian Boxing Federation will do a great job of organizing this tournament ..." he said.Read More: AIBA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING

National Sports Awards: The Ministry of Sports has increased the last date for submitting applications for the National Sports Awards till 22 June, 2020 and permitted players to nominate themselves.(Source: PTI)The Ministry of Sports increased the last date for submitting applications for National Sports Awards till 22nd June, 2020, and permitted athletes to nominate themselves in wake of the "problems" they face in finding players amid the closure of COVID-19.Wednesday was the last day to complete the nomination process, but the period has been extended along with relaxation in the process due to the problems athletes face in "obtaining the recommendation of the authorities/persons prescribed due to the blockade across the country, there is a pandemic of COVID-19".A circular from the Ministry of Sports said, "It was decided to abolish the requirement to submit the recommendations of the authorities/people stipulated in the award scheme only.""The portion of the application form which needs the advocacy of the authorities/people can be left blank."The ministry has only invited email requests this year due to the epidemic.According to the stipulated rules, nominations for national awards can only be made in conjunction with the recommendation of the National Federation, Sports Council, and previous winners.Relaxation offers a window of opportunity for athletes who have not been shortlisted by their national sports federations and are not accredited by previous winners.Awards, including Rajiv Gandhi's horses, Ratna, are presented each year on August 29, the anniversary of the birth of hockey magician Dian Chand, who is also celebrated as National Sports Day.img source: the bridgeAlso Read: La Liga: Spain considering allowing soccer fans to return to matches
FSU Football News: FSU football coaches continue to work hard to rate players in the 2022 recruitment cycle. Their latest offer from Maryland is in great shape.FSU football has gained a lot of ground on the 2022 Recruitment Council, with the training team offering over 170 recruits so far making it big in FSU football news.It is one positive because of the epidemic that has closed recruitment visits, as it gives coaches time to evaluate more tapes as they begin to form the necessary relationships with aspiring players.Their latest offer goes on the ball's defensive side to four-star Jaishawn Barham from Hyattville, Maryland."I am blessed to receive an offer from Florida State University," said Jaishawn Barham on twitter.ThoughtsHe is registered with 6'3 ″ and 230 lbs and is considered the 40th nationally and the No. 3 outside linebacker and the No. 2 player in Maryland according to 247 Sports.Barham does not have a composite rating at this time but has 19 offers from FSU, Florida, Arizona State, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Virginia and Virginia Tech, among others. This is the most popular thing in FSU football news.He has offers from almost every senior officer, especially the big shows that enlist the Maryland area apart from Alabama. Maybe this offer will come sometime.Barham has a good physique and is physically ready to play college football. The crazy thing is that I wouldn't be surprised if he'd grown defensively because he has stil left with two more years of high school. He's meet FSU's soccer need, whether he stays back or becomes a defensive end, so this is a good deal. There are no 247 predictions for Crystal Ball for him right now, and Penn State is the only school he has visited at this time.Noles offer comes a little late considering that some of these schools offered him in January 2019. However, they do have time to make an impression, and as with everything about employment, we will have to see if they can get him on campus.img source: tomahawknationarticle source: chopchatAlso Read: NFL Preseason: NFL discusses shortening preseason, according to report

Iowa Football: The Iowa Athletics Department announced on Tuesday budget cuts of about $ 15 million for the next fiscal year as a result of a coronavirus, and many Hawkeyes coaches and senior managers will take voluntary future pay cuts in a year.In a press release, Iowa officials said that the Athletics Department budget for the previous fiscal year was $ 124.8 million and the projected budget for the period 2020-21 was $ 127.5 million. It decreased to $ 112.5 million after it was cut to $ 13 million in operating expenses and about $ 2 million in compensation.Gary Barta, Iowa's director of sports, said that women's basketball coaches Lisa Bluder, American football coach Kirk Ferentz, men's basketball coach Fran McCaffrey and wrestling coach Tom Brands voluntarily agreed to cut the 15% of the basic salary for one year.Barta will cut his total compensation by more than 30%, and AD Barbara Burke has agreed to cut wage by 25%."None of this is easy for our coaches and staff," Barta said in a statement. "I appreciate your continued understanding in these unstable times. We have been dealing with the epidemic in such a financial situation that requires difficult decisions. It is our responsibility to maintain a financially responsible process while providing the highest level of service to our student athletes."Iowa officials said compensation cuts would be implemented throughout the athletic division on a sliding scale based on annual salary.“I’m concerned about our employees and realize that lowering wages will have a major impact on many families across the department. I want to thank all of our employees for their support and understanding because we worked during this process,” said Barta. "We are trying to balance the necessary financial cuts by spreading the sacrifice carefully."Barta said the announced budget and cuts were based on assumptions that upcoming football and basketball seasons would be played in the presence of the fans. If not, the Hawkeyes may have to make more significant cuts."These are tough times with a lot of uncertainty," said Berta.Article source: espnAlso Read: FSU Football News: Tayon Holloway offered by Florida State

"When I officially announce my retirement from cricket," Watson said in a video clip on Tuesday, "I feel crazy lucky to have lived my dream, and more."“It really seems like the right time. Basic Pickleball RulesPunctuationThe score must be mentioned out loud before each service with the result of the teams serving first, in both pairs of players in the team service, so the last number must be identifying which server is sending.ServiceThe serve must be hit in a rocking motion under the hand and the ball must be in contact below the hips. When sending, the server must be behind the baseline and operate in the adjacent service box as in tennis. You only get one serve, if the ball is hit outside the court, in the net, or in the non-air shot zone (the kitchen), it is side-out. The midfield, sidelines and finish lines are in service, but if the ball lands on the no-shot line, it is sideways out. If the ball hits the net and enters the sending zone, it permits and the server maintains the service. You get points only during service. In doubles, each player serves until a point is lost and then the other team receives the service. At the start of the game, the team that sends the first service gets only one player per server, so the score starts from 0 - 0 - 2. The number 2 means that it is actually the second server.Double recoil baseWhen the ball is sent, the player on the receiving end must let the ball bounce one time before hitting it. When the ball returns to the serving side, it must bounce the ball once before it can hit. After the ball bounces once on each side, it can hit the ball without bouncing as long as it is not in the ball's restriction zone within 7 feet of the net. There is no shot areaThe non-hit area is 7 feet from the net on each side. A player may not hit the ball if he is inside the no-fly zone unless the ball rebounds first. If the ball hits a player in the clear area of the plane before it rebounds, the point is lost. Once the ball bounces, the player can hit the ball while in the area. If a player hits a ball while outside the non-shooting area, momentum moves him to the area where the point was lost. If your foot touches any part of the line that is in the area, you can skip the line and hit the ball as long as your foot is behind the line. If the transmission hits the No-Volley line, the transmission team loses the point.

Indian hockey striker Dilpreet Singh, who was training at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Center in Bangalore as part of the potential major-male group, plans to make the cut in the Round of 16 final that he will represent to India in the prestigious Tokyo Olympics, set to begin in July. The 21-year-old striker said that since there are no major competitions in 2020 affected by the epidemic, he takes every training session as an opportunity to make a strong case for a place on the Olympic team. We don't want to worry about factors that are not under our control. I don't want to wait for the chance to play a match for India to defend myself but to make the most of the opportunity here in the camp to show my skills and prove myself. "We give 100 percent of each training session," Dilpreet said in a statement.Speaking of his development and the opportunity for him to train with senior players again in the camp, the youngster added: "I've been working on my technical game. I improved my end. Watching the older players playing and spending time with them helps the younger players gain confidence and of course improve." We ask our veteran players for advice and guidance, and they have been of great help to us at all times. "Dilpreet, who was part of the teams that won the silver and bronze medals at the Breda Hockey Champions Cup 2018 and Asian Games 2018, respectively, returned to the junior starting group after the 2018 World Cup.Speaking of the omission, the boy from Amritsar said, “I was very upset with myself because I was a part of almost every major tournament and I was looking forward to appearing in the Olympics as well. But the omission of the senior core group affected me so much and made me realize that I had squandered the golden opportunity and I had to work harder. "However, a year later, after doing well in potential youth basics, Dilpreet was called up for the FIH Pro League match against World Champion Belgium."I started from scratch. I trained hard in the junior camp to at least get a place in the first team. He used to follow every first-team training exercise. I was in constant contact with the top players for that and asked them for guidance, and finally, in 2020, I'm back." "To the main group of the FIH Hockey Pro League. The postponement of the Olympic Games gave players like me the opportunity to improve the situation and make the most of it. The choice of teams is not in my hands, I focus on giving 100 percent on the field and improving day after day."Also Read: The 47th FIH Statutory Congress will happen in Delhi

The online gaming industry is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22% to $ 2 billion by 2023, up from $ 906 million in 2019, according to a report by the All India Games Federation (AIGF) and EY India. Driven largely by a young tech-savvy population, wide internet coverage, better performing smartphones at affordable prices. India is now the fifth largest online gaming market in the world and is expected to grow even further after. of the digitization caused by Covid-19. virus. Online games are also the fourth largest sub-segment of the media and entertainment industry. The report stated that online game players are expected to grow from 360 million in 2020 to 510 million in 2022. While real money online game players are expected to grow from 80 million in 2020 to 150 million in 2023. The results revealed that by creating more than 11,000 jobs, the esports sector is estimated to generate around $ 100 billion in economic value for India between 2021 and 2025, including investments, in-app purchases and profits. Looking at the industry growth prospects, the report also looks at the effects of GST and obstacles that could affect the industry's business operations. He said that the tax rate should not exceed 20% as this could lead to gaming operators and consumers not joining the government licensing system and entering the gray market. Online games operate on a "fee" model in which the gaming platform charges additional fees to facilitate play or "freemium" models where play is free, but additional features may require the user to purchase certain items from an immediate price. The report said that the rational imposition of a GST is important for the sustainability of the industry. The vast majority of countries tax the online gaming industry at or below standard GST / VAT rates. The most common mode of taxation is based on commissions (platform fees) earned by industry players in markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and EU countries (except France). In some countries (e g South Africa, Singapore and Australia), a credit model is followed in which the total value of bets is taxed at a discretionary discount allowed on payments (prizes) made to players. "Valuation disputes under the Goods and Services Tax Act (GST) have been daunting for the industry. Most importantly, regressive taxes for these emerging sectors can make companies unsustainable in India. Our recommendation is that tax authorities should align their policies with internationally accepted tax principles. In the industry, online games provide certainty to the industry. " The report highlighted the much-discussed issue of the legality of online gaming in India and stated that various higher courts across the country have held that Rummy, Poker, and Fantasy Sports are games of skill and do not amount to gambling. Electronic sports must also qualify as a game of skill by applying the principles established by the courts. EY partner Bipin Sapra said: "The government needs to state & clarify that games of skill like games of rummy, fantasy, poker, etc., which are different from games of chance like lottery, gambling, Random games are taxed at the GST rate. Normal services will be 18% and the taxable value is the platform fee or commission fee. Clarifying this meaning would give certainty to the industry and encourage more investment in this sector ". Fanoos Basir a former Afghan soccer player fled her country after the Taliban dramatically capturing the capital city Kabul in August 2021. Despite promises by Taliban representatives that the Women would have more freedom than the last time the Taliban ruled the country, the women of the country were skeptical and unsure of their future. Fanoos Basir, said that she does not believe in the Taliban and that the Islamist movement will not change its attitude towards women. The Taliban were toppled in the US-led invasion in 2001, but 20 years later they regained power again and were forced out a foreign military mission, prompting the evacuation of tens of thousands of vulnerable Afghans. The last flights departed on Monday. In 2010, Basir joined a fledgling national soccer team that trained in a dilapidated stadium and began participating in tournaments abroad. However, the national team was disbanded and a large group of players and current staff were evacuated in an Australian military plane. Khaleda Popal, a former captain of the women's national soccer team who now resides outside Denmark, had urged soccer players on the women's team to burn their certificates, jerseys and medals for fear of attack by the Taliban, who had prohibited sports for women during her previous regime. Fanoos Basir not only did this, but tried to flee the country with her ailing parents as many as 3 days after the Taliban captured Kabul that on August 15. After several unsuccessful attempts, Basir, with the help of the French embassy, escaped to France. "Of course, we didn't know the Taliban would come as quickly as they did. Everyone knows what they did 30 years ago. They consider women like zero. They say that everything will change, we will allow women to work but I believe these are all fake face of the Taliban that they are showing to the world. They will never change. They have the same mentality towards women," said Basir. Also Read- Afghan national team footballer Zaki Anwari dies in fall from US plane at Kabul airport"So personally, I thought I would never work as part of their NGO government because working with them means supporting them. I will never support them. I will never trust them." "They still kill people. They have the same ideas and the same attitude towards women. Even if they let us work, we should be accompanied by our brother or father. So, it's impossible." “I was working as a civil engineer and I worked with a lot of guys, so this is impossible for me. "They are fake and they are showing off to the world that they are good and have changed. But they never change." ‘Who are they to forgive us?’ "They talked about resuming all sports activities. But women's sport was not mentioned. How can they change? They say they are going to forgive us. Who are they to forgive us? They have killed so many people, it should be the other way around." She added. 'I don't want to talk to a woman' Recalling the horrible experience when she tried to flee the country from the Kabul airport, Fanoos Basir said that a representative for Taliban did not even speak to her when she asked for clarification. Basir said she saw people being shot when the Taliban warned people not to flee the country in chaotic days at the airport. "We tried a lot for 2 or 3 days (to escape). My mother was sick. I went to the airport, there was a big crowd and they were shooting a lot of people. I saw them shoot people in the head and legs. They were bleeding and they hit them with sticks. ”I covered my face with a burqa. When I approached them, I wanted to ask them a question, but a Taliban pushed me and said." No, I don't want to talk to a woman. He told me to leave to home ". she said Fanoos Basir blamed the United States for the return of the Taliban to Afghanistan. "If the United States wants to kick them out, they can do it in an hour or two. They don't want to do it. They have drones, they have satellites. How is it possible that they are fighting against the Taliban for 20 years and did nothing?" she said. Also Read- Neeraj Chopra vs Sumit Antil: Can two gold medallists clash at Paris Olympics 2024?
The Taliban said on Wednesday (September 8) that Afghan women cannot participate in sports, including cricket because sports activities "would expose their bodies." Ahmadullah Wasiq, deputy director of the Taliban's cultural committee, told the media that sports activities were not necessary for women. Earlier this week, the Taliban decreed that only a woman teacher would teach female students but if that was not possible then ‘old men’ of good character could fill in. “I don't think women will be allowed to play cricket because it is not necessary that women should play cricket. In cricket, they might face a situation where their face and body will not be covered. Islam does not allow women to be seen like this. It is the media era, and there will be photos and videos, and then people watch it. Islam and the Islamic Emirate do not allow women to play cricket or play the kind of sports where they get exposed,” said Ahmadullah Wasiq, the deputy head of the Taliban's cultural commission, in an interview. In November 2020, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) awarded contracts to 25 female cricketers. It also held a 21-day training camp for 40 female cricketers in Kabul. The International Cricket Council (ICC) requires its twelve members to have a women's national team and only full members of the ICC are permitted to play Test matches. Also Read- Afghan national team footballer Zaki Anwari dies in fall from US plane at Kabul airport When asked if no women’s cricket would mean ICC calling off the Hobart Test, Wasiq said the Taliban would not compromise. “Even for this, if we face challenges and problems, we have fought for our religion so that Islam is to be followed. A match from the end of his bid for what would have been the calendar's first Grand Slam tournament in men's tennis since 1969, Novak Djokovic covered his face with a towel, hiding his tears during the changeover. In 27 Grand Slam matches in 2021, on hard courts, clay courts and grass, Djokovic is unbeatable. Needing one more victory, in Sunday's US Open final against Daniil Medvedev, to complete a season sweep for major titles and claim his 21st career record, Djokovic couldn't pull it off.Outplayed by someone using a similar style to his own, Djokovic came up just short of those two historic milestones, losing 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to first-time major champion Medvedev at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Also Read- Novak Djokovic outlives Stefanos Tsitsipas at French Open to win nineteenth majorA simply stunning performance from @DaniilMedwed pic.twitter.com/0sF1r2CiNg— US Open Tennis (@usopen) September 12, 2021No.1 ranked Djokovic had been sublime in the sport's top four tournaments, enduring the burdens of expectations and pressure for the past seven months and, in New York, the past two weeks. He beat Medvedev in the Australian Open final in February, then added titles at the French Open in June and Wimbledon in July.He made mistakes, 38 inadvertent mistakes in all. He couldn't convert the chance of a break until it was too small, too late, going just 1 for 6. He also showed frustration, destroying his racket by hitting it three times against the court after one point, drawing boos from the crowd of 25,703 and a code violation from chair umpire Damien Dumusois. List of players to defeat Novak Djokovic in a Grand Slam in 2021:Daniil Medvedev-end of list-— US Open Tennis (@usopen) September 12, 2021Much of Djokovic's troubles had to do with No. 2 ranked Medvedev, who used his 6-foot-6(1.98meter) frame to chase everything and respond with seemingly effortless groundstrokes, in the same way. that Djokovic wears down foes, and delivered pinpoint serving. Medvedev won 20 of his first 23 service points, forming a pattern. He finished with 16 aces and 38 winners in total, 11 wins more than Djokovic. After overcoming several double faults at match point, Medvedev finally finished the job, then toppled over to the court on his side. Djokovic reached the 31st Grand Slam final, equaling the record of six victories on the hard court at Flushing Meadows. But he couldn't get the last thing he needed. He remains tied with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal with 20 major titles. And the last man to complete a true Grand Slam going 4-4 at the majors in a single season remains Rod Laver, who did it twice, in 1962 and 1969, and was in the stands on Sunday. The last woman to achieve this feat was Steffi Graf in 1988. Instead, Djokovic joined Jack Crawford in 1933 and Lew Hoad in 1956 as men who won the first three Grand Slam tournaments over a year and reached the U.S. Open final before losing. Djokovic came out a bit cold Sunday, double faulted in each of his first two service games and mixed enough groundstroke fouls bowing his head or rolling his eyes after some that 12 minutes, Medvedev was a point from a second break and a 3-0 lead. Djokovic eventually used a couple of aces at 117 mph and 124 mph to hold there, but it was Medvedev who stole the show in the early going. It was the fifth consecutive match in which Djokovic lost the first set, and 11th in Grand Slam play this year, but unlike other cases, he was unable to win again. This moment though pic.twitter.com/dgvqLMpdBv— US Open Tennis (@usopen) September 12, 2021Djokovic got to love-40 in Medvedev’s first service game of the second set but did not come through on any of those break points. Thousands of fans tried to reinforce him by chanting his nickname "No-Le! No-Le! No-Le!" After some of Medvedev's mistakes, some in the stands would applaud, considered poor form in tennis and repeatedly admonished with a “please” from Dumusois. Also Read- Taliban set to ban womens sports in Afghanistan, claims report

The fifth match was called off and Moeen said that while he wanted to reach a few milestones, he was content with calling time on his career. "I was hoping to play the last one, there were a couple of milestones I wanted to try and get in this series. But once that game was called off I was happy and done. It's been a good journey," he further said.Moeen said that he wants to prolong his career and that the intensity of Test cricket does take a mental and emotional toll. "I'm 34 now and I want to play for as long as I can and I just want to enjoy my cricket. Test cricket is amazing, when you’re having a good day it’s better than any other format by far, it’s more rewarding and you feel like you’ve really earnt it," he said. "I will miss just walking out there with the lads, playing against best in the world with that feeling of nerves but also from a bowling point of view, knowing with my best ball I could get anyone out. I've enjoyed Test Cricket but that intensity can be too much sometimes and I feel like I’ve done enough of it and I’m happy and content with how I’ve done," he further said. Moeen made his Test debut in a match against Sri Lanka at Lord's on June 12, 2014. His first Test wicket was that of Sri Lanka great Kumar Sangakkara, who was batting on 147 at the time. 64 Test matches195 wickets2914 runsCountless memories #ThankYouMo — England Cricket (@englandcricket) September 27, 2021'Hope I made it easier for someone to take up cricket' He said he hopes that his Test career will inspire and open the door for other British Muslims to play for England. He said he was inspired in a similar way by former South Africa batsman Hashim Amla. "It always takes somebody to inspire you or takes somebody to think if he can do it I can and I hope there are a few people out there who are thinking that. I know he wasn't English but someone like Hashim Amla, when I first saw him, I thought if he can do it I can do it, it does take that little spark," said Moeen. "I'd love one day in 8-10 years' time (someone) to say Moeen made it easier for me. There have been guys before me who made it easier, so you hope to open the door for someone else." Former Australia captain Ricky Bunting questioned Joe Root's comments about English bowlers during the Ashes and said that as the captain of the traveling team, it was his responsibility to make changes if necessary.Former Australia captain Ricky Bunting questioned Joe Root's comments about english bowlers during the Ashes and said that as the captain of the traveling team, it was his responsibility to make changes if necessary. After a crushing nine-wicket defeat in Brisbane's opener, England fell to the second Test by 275 runs in Adelaide on Monday to track the five-game streak 2-0.After the pink ball test, Root said his players needed to play more and "be braver."Australia's massive 275-round win gave Australia a 2-0 lead in the #Ashes series as the team headed to Melbourne."When I heard this, I almost fell out of my seat," Bunting told Cricket Australia. "So it's their job to take their place? So why are you the captain?" he said.“If you can't influence bowlers at the length required to throw them, what do you do on the court?"Joe Root can go back and say whatever he wants, but if you're the captain, you have to be able to understand that bowlers aren't bowling where you want them to. That's what the captain is all about."Ponting also noted that the English bowling attack was the best when Root left the field with a thigh injury and the captain was handed over to Ben Stokes."The interesting thing for me is that when he gave the whole game, Joe Root wasn't on the field," Ponting said."From day four, when they met on the field before the match started, Stokes took charge of the team, and that was the only time in the game that he took the ball."The third Ash Test will take place from December 26-30 at Melbourne Cricket Ground. For the previous Article - Virat vs BCCI: We'll deal with it, says Ganguly
