India vs South Africa: A double century of Rohit Sharma and bowling by the fast bowlers helped India beat South Africa by 202 runs.
India has a dominating performance in the third test against South Africa in Ranchi to complete a 3-0 whitewash. India 497/9 turned out to be too much for South Africa, even over two innings as they were knocked over for 162 and then 133. India maintained their perfect record in the World Test Championship with five wins. They are at the top of the table with 240 points.
South Africa made a great start to the match with Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje, reducing India to 39/3. But then Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane put 267 run stands to take away the game from South Africa.
Rohit Sharma played as an opener for the first time in the longest form of the game and got two centuries in the first game. Despite failing his second test in Pune, he finished as the top scorer with 529 runs.
Ajinkya Rahane scored his 11th Test ton and his first at home since October 2016.
In their first innings, South Africa was tamed for 162, with only Zubair Hamza and Temba Bafuma putting up a fight for the Proteas. His second innings were no different as India bold them out.
Shahbaz Nadeem picked up two wickets in each innings at his home ground.
India concluded the series with their win in Pune, making it the 11th consecutive test series win at home.
