Winter X Games Aspen 2020 : TV Schedule, Concert, Event information

The X Games is an extreme sports event held annually. It is hosted, produced, as well as broadcasted by the ESPN. The Winter X Games is a competition between the best of the winter action sports athletes who participate from all over the world competing every year. The Winter X Games includes both day and evening events which include skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. The very first Winter X Games was held at the Mountain Resort in Big Bear Lake, California, in the year 1997. 

Along with the competition going on in full form, the X Games also features music festivals including live music, sessions with the athletes and other interactive activities.

The X Games competitions feature some of the tricks like Tony Hawk's 900 in Skateboarding, the double backflip by Travis Pastrana's in freestyle motocross, the first snowmobile trick by Heath Frisby, the first switch triple rodeo by Gus Kenworthy in the ski slopestyle competition and so many others.

The Winter X Games take place in the months of January or February (mostly in January) in the United States. It is located in Aspen, Colorado. On the other hand, the Summer X Games take place in the month of August in the United States. The Summer X Games had been located in Los Angeles, then moved to Austin, Texas, in June 2014.

The X Games has various international competitions and demos that take place all across the world. These are held at different times throughout the year. The X Games are popularly telecasted on television.

Following is the list of the events that will take place as a part of the Winter X Games. These are as follows: 


Calgary is getting itself into the extreme sports arena as it has plans of hosting the Winter X Games for as less as the next three years. It has successfully got the exclusive rights to host the Winter X Games in the year 2020 through 2022. This is subject to securing corporate sponsorship. The X Games Aspen 2020 will be featuring a musical performance by Alesso, Bazzi, Illenium and Rae Sremmurd. 

The participants compete with each other in various disciplines to win the medals bronze, silver, and gold medals, and the prize money as well. The snowsports’ greatest ski, snowboard & snowmobile athletes will compete against each other in 18 different disciplines over four days.

We have the whole planned schedule of the Winter X Games 2020 that will be held from 23rd January 2020 till 26th January 2020. The schedule is as follows:

Apart from ESPN, The live media coverage of the Winter X Games 2020 will be shown on the sister network of ESPN, ABC. To get the latest and the up to date information during the events of the Games, you can download the X Games Aspen 2020 app. The app is available for download on both iPhone and Android devices.

The students of colleges can save on the tickets if they buy the College X Pass that will be valid for a duration of two days of skiing or riding during the Games. The Pass is for $97 and it also comes with an option to add two more days onto the pass worth $62 per day. The pass will be valid at the four Aspen Snowmass mountains including Snowmass, Buttermilk, Aspen, and the Highlands. The College X Pass is available here.

Attending all the sports competitions will be free and open to the general public. The X Games Aspen 2020 will be host musical concerts by some of the world's most renowned artists.
