Pan American games 2019
The Pan American games being one of the major sports events in America features summer sports in which thousands of Athletes participate every year in a variety of competitions. The competition is held every four years before the summer Olympic Games and mom eclipse from the nations of America. The body governing the Pan America sports organization structure and actions are defined by the Olympic charter. The first competition was held in 1951 in Buenos Aires which was recognized by the 1948 Summer Olympic.
Recent Games
In the Inaugural year of 1951, 2513 competitors participated representing 14 nations. The 2015 Pan American games had 6132 competitors 41 countries. The Athletes and officials are provided with a stay at Pan American games. The village is furnished with cafeteria, health clinic and locations for religious expression, thus being a self-contained home for all the participants. The competition allows the nation's who do not need the strict requirements for political sovereignty that other International organization demand, to participate in the competition Puerto Rico and Bermuda are two such separate nation despite being legally under the jurisdiction of another power.
The 2019 Pan American game which is officially the XVII pan American games and is also known as Lima 2019 Pan Am Games are an upcoming multi-sports event which is to be held in Lima Peru from July 26th to August 11 2019 with preliminary events beginning on 24th July 2019 which is governed by the Pan American sports organization.
Venue
The event with a place at various Lima districts and neighbouring cities, most of them being concentrated in the clusters of VIDA Pan America Park, the sports village of Calloo, and sports complex in Costa Verde.
Financing
The total budget of the competition is estimated to be US dollar 1.2 billion, with $470 million in sports infrastructure, $180 million in building the Pan American village, $430 been spent in organization and $906 for the other expenses.
Athletes village
Villa El Salvador a 1700 units complex will be the place where 9500 athletes and team officials will be accommodated.
Torch Relay
The torch will be sent from Mexico to Lima by sailboat and the Relay will start in Machu Picchu. The torch will take a tour through 23 cities over 23 days and will cover 5500 kilometers on route to the Peru National Stadium in Lima on July 26, 2019, for the opening ceremony.

As Sport Climbing didn't have the required number of the national federation in America is excluded. The Street League Skateboarding having a scheduled World Tour event in Los Angeles directly conflicted from the Games, and also the event has not made the Games to be a qualifier for the Olympics and so Skateboarding was pulled from the program in May 2019.
As per the new event disciplines introduced for 2020 Summer Olympics are also being added which includes the 4 100m mixed medley relay, mens 800 and womens 1500 meter in swimming 3- on- 3 basketball, BMX Freestyle Park, new women's boxing events, Madison track cycling, the three mens events to be transferred to the mixed team events in shooting, table tennis mixed doubles, archery mixed team, and triathlon mixed relay. One mens weightlifting event and all Canoe events being gender-neutral have been reduced. The only even dropped from the games is womens baseball.
Broadcasting
The host broadcaster for the Games will be Mediapro and the International Broadcast Centre will be hosted by the Lima Convention Centre. Panam Sports Channel will be launched by Panam Sports on its website, which will feature supplemental video content from the Games which will be hosted by local personality Alexandra Horler.
Logo
The official logo of the Pan American Games 2019 is inspired by an indigenous flower that flourishes from June 24 to September 30 named as the Flower of Amancaes. The flower represents three athletes with open arms and three Americas, with the identity of Lima.
