The Haryana Steelers, who topped the table during the league phase of PKL Season 11, put on an impressive performance on the mat on Sunday as they overcame the Patna Pirates in Pune.
With the Show Stopper Shadloui performing at his best, the Haryana Steelers claimed victory in the final with a score of 32-23. For the Haryana Steelers, the titleholders, Shivam Patare recorded 9 points, Mohammadreza Shadloui secured 7, and Vinay contributed an additional 6 points. According to the PKL press release, the champions received INR 3 crore, while the Patna Pirates, as runners-up, earned Rs 1.8 crore.
The big evening began with an electric atmosphere, as the Haryana Steelers secured the initial points and took the lead in the early moments. Devank and Ankit were battling for the Patna Pirates, but it was the Haryana Steelers who were setting the pace and managing the rhythm, with Shivam Patare and Mohammadreza Shadloui carrying the workload.
The defense of the Haryana Steelers, led by Jaideep and Rahul Sethpal, was demonstrating why they are regarded as one of the top teams in the league by making it very difficult for the Patna Pirates to score. But as the first half went on, Gurdeep and Sudhakar managed to get the Patna Pirates back within striking distance of their rivals.
The Haryana Steelers then began to put their opponents through a lot of pressure, leading to the game's first ALL OUT. The Haryana Steelers jumped out to a 9-point advantage, and Shadloui, the Show Stopper, was in his element. The Haryana Steelers put an end to any dreams of a comeback in the closing minutes by masterfully controlling the game and the clock.
After forty minutes, the Haryana Steelers left the mat victorious, securing their inaugural PKL title.
