Yasashvi Jaiswal, 17, this Mumbai opener became the youngest batsman to score a double century in List A cricket. Jaiswal scored 203 runs from 154 balls against Jharkhand in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019 this Wednesday. The southpaws record-breaking innings had 12 sixes, mostly by the batsman in the history of the Vijay Hazare Tournament.

This is the third century of Jaiswal out of five matches in the tournament. He shared 200 runs in the opening partnership with Aditya Tare. The wicketkeeper-batsman scored 78 runs from 102 deliveries.
The teenagers maiden double century followed by skipper Shreyas Iyers 14-ball 31 cameo helped Mumbai post 358 for 3 in the first innings.
In Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019, it was the second double century. Sanju Samson broke a record with the second-fastest double century of all time in the one day ( List A) cricket against Goa. Samson scored 212 shots from 129 balls at the same place on October 12.
