The African games are formerly known as the AU-African Games or Pan African games.
These African Games are one of the continental multi-sport events which are held out in every 4 years and is organized by the African Union. They also get help from the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa and the association of African sports Confederation. The first African game was held in 1965 in Brazzaville Congo. The games have also included athletes with a disability from 1999. It was after the 11th
Edition of the games that it was renamed as the African games in the year 2012.

Since 1965 in all Africa games, South Africa was banned and it was still 1995, it got officially ended and Africa was finally invited after such a long wait to be a part of this game. The same issues were faced by Morocco and
it was banned to continue with the games out there for the year 1987 to
2015 just because the most famous political issues which arose out there over the place
