Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and his wife Ayesha Mukherjee have divorced after 8 years of marriage. Ayesha Mukherjee took to social media to confirm the news and put an end to all the rumors.Shikhar Dhawan married Ayesha Mukherjee, who has two daughters from her first marriage, in October 2012. The couple have a 7-year-old son named Zoravar, who was born in 2014.I THOUGHT DIVORCE WAS A DIRTY WORD UNTIL I BECAME A 2 TIME DIVORCEE. Funny how words can have such powerful meanings and associations. I experienced this first hand as a divorcee. The first time I went through a divorce I was soooooooo fu@kn scared. I felt like I had failed and I was doing something so wrong at that time.I felt as if I had let everyone down and even felt selfish. I felt that I was letting my parents down, I felt that I was letting my children down and even to some extent I felt as if I was letting God down. Divorce was such a dirty word.So now imagine, I have to go through it a second time. Woooahhhhhh. That is terrifying. Being divorced once before already, felt like I had more at stake the second time round. I had more to prove. So when my second marriage broke down it was really scary. All the feelings I felt when I went through it the first time came flooding in. Fear, failure and disappointment x 100. What does this mean for me? How does this define me and my relationship to marriage?"Well, once I went through the necessary actions and emotions of what had happened I was able to sit with myself and see that I was fine, I was actually doing great, even noticed my fear had totally disappeared. The remarkable thing is I actually felt much more empowered. I realised my fear and the meaning I gave to the word divorce was my own doing. So, once I realised this I started to redefine the word and the experience of divorce according to the way I wanted to see it and experience it," Ayesha Mukherjee posted on social media.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Aesha Mukerji (@apwithaesha)Shikhar Dhawan is currently in the UAE, where he will be playing for Delhi Capitals in the second half of the Indian Premier League (IPL). When one talks about the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore, the first name that comes to mind is Virat Kohli. The legendary batsman has been associated with the franchise since the inception of the league's in 2008 and has become a formidable figure in its history. Kohli has been the face and captain of RCB since he took over as captain in the middle of the 2012 season. He has been an ambassador for the franchise in T20 cricket. But despite his impressive performances on the field with the bat, Kohli has not managed to lift the IPL trophy ever, either as a player or captain. He came within touching distance in 2016, when he re-wrote the record books by scoring 973 runs in the tournament as he single-handedly took his team to the final. But it was not to be as his team lost to SunRisers Hyderabad. The 2021 season will be Kohli's last chance to win the coveted league as the RCB captain.Virat Kohli on Sunday made it clear that he will continue playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore but won't be captaining the team beyond the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season. Also Read- Virat Kohli to step down as India T20 captain after World CupKohli dropped his second bombshell this week as he confirmed the news in a video posted by RCB on social media. I’ll continue to be an RCB player till I play my last IPL game. I thank all the RCB fans for believing in me and supporting me,” the RCB skipper said in a statement."It wasn't an easy decision but one that has been well thought of and in the best interest of this wonderful franchise."The RCB family remains close to my heart as we continue to strive to achieve excellence. As I have mentioned previously in many occasions, I will only play for RCB until my retirement from the game of cricket.Kohli, who took over as RCB skipper full time from Daniel Vettori in 2013, has yet to lead the side to an IPL title."I spoke to the management this evening. This was something that was on my mind... I needed the space to refresh, regroup and be absolutely clear in how to move forward," Kohli said.RCB currently ranks third in the IPL 2021 points table with 5 wins from 7 matches. On paper, Punjab Kings and the Rajasthan Royals have more than a few things in common in the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Both affected by the withdrawal of players and locked at six points each, the two teams will look to revive their falling campaign during their clash at Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday.Wicketkeeper captains KL Rahul and Sanju Samson comfortably sit among the top six scorers of the tournament, but their individual efforts have left no impact on their team's performances so far. With the odds stacked against them in their 14th attempt to lift the elusive trophy, Punjab Kings will hope for their coach Anil Kumble and the leadership group to get their campaign back on track. Also Read- Virat Kohli to quit RCB captaincy after the end of IPL 2021 seasonDuring his playing career, Kumble had back India from the clutches of defeat on numerous occasions. With the former India captain name doing the rounds for a second stint as head coach of the national team once Ravi Shastri completes his tenure after the T20 World Cup, the legendary leg-spinner will look to prove his mettle as a franchise coach. Before his fallout with Virat Kohli, Kumble had coached India to the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final. However, his brief tenure as coach of the Punjab Kings has yet to produce the desired results. The Mohali-based franchise finished sixth in 2020 and is currently at the same spot midway into the IPL 2021 season.Tuesday's competition will be more about what kinds of starts can be made by the top order players on both sides. As for the Kings, Rahul and Mayank are expected to open with Chris Gale providing just the right momentum to their innings at No.3.Prabhsimran Singh is another exciting prospect at the top of the order in case he gets into the XI. The middle order will be manned by Mandeep Singh, M Shahrukh Khan and a toss-up between new recruit Aiden Markram and West Indian Nicholas Pooran, eager to get over a nightmarish first phase, where he got four ducks.Leg-spin remains Punjab's forte and the addition of experienced campaigner Adil Rashid, alongside the India pair of Ravi Bishnoi and Murugan Ashwin, could come in handy in UAE conditions. The withdrawals of Riley Meredith and Jhye Richardson means Mohammed Shami is set to be partnered by either Chris Jordan or Nathan Ellis. Left-armer Arshdeep Singh's improved death bowling will also strengthen his case.Similarly for the Rajasthan, a lot will depend on the start provided by power-hitters Liam Livingston and Evin Lewis. Coming to the IPL after some sensational performances in "The Hundred" for Birmingham Phoenix, Livingston will be excited to stretch his run, while at the same time his skills will be tested against a high-quality leg-spin.Weakened by the withdrawal of Ben Stokes, Joss Butler and Jofra Archer, Rajasthan hope that their Indian Players like Rahul Tewatia, Riyan Parag, Jaydev Unadkat and Chetan Sakariya to turn the tide. Also Read- Pakistan vs New Zealand: Entire tour called off due to security concerns minutes before 1st ODI
Delhi Capitals have been the team to beat in IPL 2021, with Rishabh Pant doing a great job leading the franchise in the absence of Shreyas Iyer. But that was all before Covid outbreak in the IPL bio-bubble that led to the tournament being postponed. Iyer is back, but Pant will continue to lead the team, at least until the end of the current season. Delhi hopes to pick up where it left off in India, and their first test comes in the form of bottom-placed SunRisers Hyderabad on Wednesday. While DC was the form team in the first leg in India, SRH endured a nightmare. The team had just one win under their belt from seven games.SRH's dreadful showing cost David Warner his captaincy and he was replaced by Kane Williamson before the tournament was halted. The Covid-enforced break, however, came at the right time for SRH. Bolstered by the return of Captain Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai Indians (MI), still agonizing from their defeat against the Chennai Super Kings will look to return against the Varun Chakravarthy (KKR) inspired Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Sheikh Zayed Abu Dhabi Stadium on Thursday night. The Tamil Nadu tweaker won handsome praise from India and RCB skipper Virat Kohli, who said he’s going to be “a key factor when he plays for India” after taking 3/13 in four overs. The 30-year-old’s magical spell included as many as 15 dot balls and Glenn Maxwell was one of his three scalps. When the teams met in Chennai during the first stage of the IPL, Rohit hit 43 off 32 balls and Chakravarthy took 1-27 in four overs, as MI won by 10 runs. Their 10-wicket victory over RCB allowed KKR to climb a little further to sixth spot on the table with six points from eight games. In order to keep their playoff hopes alive, they need to keep winning from here. Also Read- Virat Kohli to quit RCB captaincy after the end of IPL 2021 seasonMissing the services of their talismanic captain and India allrounder Hardik Pandya, MI went down by 20 runs to CSK on Sunday night. Both the players were rested as a precautionary measure, allowing them to recover from their niggles. While there’s still doubt over Pandya’s availability, head coach Mahela Jayawardene had said that Rohit should be returning for the KKR match. In a pre-match presser on Wednesday, MI’s left-arm pacer Trent Boult said: “They (Rohit and Hardik) are both recovering very well. In terms of their selection for the next game, I’m not too sure what’s going on there. But day by day, they are improving. It was probably more of precaution that they had that extra bit of rest the other night against Chennai. But they are obviously two vital players in the XI for Mumbai. And we’re desperate to get them back. So, fingers crossed that they’ll be pretty good to go over the next couple of games.”Lying at the fourth spot with eight games in eight matches, MI desperately need their key players for the business end of the tournament.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Mumbai Indians (@mumbaiindians)He (Rohit) was sorely missed. He is right up there in terms of experience and runs achieved in this format. So, it was a big hole but it was a good decision to make sure (that) he’s 100% with the amount of cricket coming up. If he comes to the eleven, it will be brilliant, but we want to make sure he is 100% fit,” said Boult.Whether Pandya plays on Thursday or not, he will also be seen by the Indian selectors, who chose him ahead of players like Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar for the T20 World Cup, which follows directly from the IPL in the United Arab Emirates.“If Hardik is fully fit, he can contribute with both bat and ball. He’s a very good player for any side. He’s working hard to get himself fit and we’re desperate to have him back,” said Boult. They would blame themselves for allowing CSK to get out of jail in the last game. Having reduced them to 24 for four in six overs, MI’s stand-in captain Kieron Pollard perhaps allowed their opponents to get off the hook when he chose to take off pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Boult and bring on his spinners. Also Read- Former Mr India contest winner Manoj Patil attempts suicide, blames actor Sahil Khan for harrassment

Sunrisers Hyderabad will face the Rajasthan Royals in the 40th match of the IPL 2021 on Monday, September 27 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Sunrisers, led by Kane Williamson, are in dire straits as they are languishing right at the bottom of the table. In their previous game, they lost to Punjab Kings by five runs after failing to chase 126 runs. Jason Holder shot five sixes to keep the Orange Army in the game, but his efforts went in vain. Going into the next game, it won’t be a surprise if they make quite a few changes in their playing eleven. The Royals, on the other hand, are placed at seventh in the IPL table. The 33-run loss at the hands of Delhi Capitals would have dented their confidence to some extent. But their skipper, Sanju Samson, looked in great touch. The fifth match was called off and Moeen said that while he wanted to reach a few milestones, he was content with calling time on his career. Royal Challengers Bangalore will go head-to-head against Kolkata Knight Riders in Eliminator of the IPL 2021. Royal Challengers Bangalore are still looking for their first IPL title and it is a perfect opportunity for them this year as they have secured the perfect mix of experienced and talented youngsters. They missed the chance to finish the race in the top two spots on the basis of net run rate, as Virat Kohli's men finished third in the standings with 18 points. However, they are still playing an excellent brand of cricket throughout this IPL and will be looking forward to do their best in the playoffs. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders had an exceptional second leg of IPL, where they bounced back from the bottom half of the table and finished fourth in the standings. They relied mainly on youngsters, who did not disappoint them. They had won their last two matches and look to extend their winning streak. Whoever wins this match will go through to Qualifier 2, whereas the loser will be knocked out of the tournament.Match Details:Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders, EliminatorVenue: Sharjah Cricket Stadium, SharjahDate & Time: October 11th at 7:30 PM IST, and at 6:00 PM local timeLive Streaming: Star Sports Network and Disney+HotstarPitch Report:The surface here at Sharjah has become a bowling-friendly one and the batters have struggled to score runs. Their preparations for the T20 World Cup off to a smooth start, and India will look to finalize their batting order for the tournament-proper when they face Australia in their second and final warm-up match on Wednesday. India will clash against Pakistan in their main event lung-opener on Sunday. The tournament will be Virat Kohli's last as skipper in the format besides being the swan-song for head coach Ravi Shastri. As Kohli pointed out before the preparation game against England on Monday, India's top three is already settled when KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma opening the batting and the skipper coming in at the crucial no.3 position. Having made a stroke-filled 70 before retiring in the seven-wicket win over England, the young Ishan Kishan has also staked his claim for a place in the playing eleven. Rishabh Pant (29 not out) was promoted ahead of SuryaKumar Yadav and it remains to be seen where the latter bats on Wednesday. Rohit didn't bat against England and come Wednesday the right-hander is expected to get a go against the Australians. The talking point, however, remains all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who did not seem comfortable in his short stint against England. With Pandya not bowling, it remains to be seen whether the Indian think-tank will play him purely as a batter. India will also miss the sixth bowling option if one of the five strong attacks has an off day on the field. Bhuvneshwar Kumar had one against England on Monday, but Jasprit Bumrah was at his best. Mohammed Shami picked up three wickets, while Rahul Chahar was taken to task by the England batters. And come Wednesday, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur and mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy are expected to get a look in before the main business begins. On recent form, since losing the home series against Australia 2-0 before the 2019 ODI World Cup, India was unbeaten in eight series in a row. Since the 2016 T20 World Cup, India have played 72 T20 matches and won 45. Australia also began with winning start to their preparations with Josh Inglis hitting two fours in the final over to help his team beat New Zealand by three wickets a warm-up match in Abu Dhabi on Monday. There was mixed news for Australia in their first warm-up as David Warner's horror run continued after he was dismissed for a first-ball duck. Adam Zampa (2/17) and Kane Richardson (3/24) impressed with the ball, but a middle-order collapse meant the Australians needed late cameos from Ashton Agar (23 off 18 balls), Mitchell Starc (13 not out off 9) and Inglis (8 not out off 2) to secure the win. The Aussies have never exactly been a huge force in the shortest format and it remains to be seen whether they are able to finally get thngs going at the biggest stage. India produced an energetic performance with the bat on Monday to beat England by 7-wickets in their first T20 World Cup warm-up match in Dubai. Chasing 189 for victory, the 2007 champions rode on destructive half-centuries from Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul to cross the finish line with 6 balls to spare. Kishan and Rahul opened the batting and added 82 for the first wicket to lay a solid foundation for the run chase before the latter got out against the run of play for 51 to Mark Wood. Virat Kohli, who dropped to No. 3 to accommodate Rahul at the top, suffered a rare failure with the bat, scoring just 11 off 13 balls. Kishan carried on attacking the England bowlers and top-scored with 70 not out of 46 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes before being replaced by Suryakumar Yadav, but this move did not work because he couldn't fire as according to expectations and got out for 8 with India needing 21 off 15 balls. Fortunately, the duo of Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya did what was needed and knocked off the required runs without much trouble. Pant finished the match with six and finished with 29 not out while Pandya scored 12 not out.Impressive batting performance Fine bowling display #TeamIndia beat England & win their first warm-up game. #INDvENG #T20WorldCup : Getty Images pic.twitter.com/jIBgYFqOjz— BCCI (@BCCI) October 18, 2021Earlier, Mohammed Shami snapped three wickets but Jonny Bairstow smashed a 36-ball 49 to help England post a challenging 188 for 5 after being asked to bat first by Virat Kohli. Besides Shami (3/40), fellow pacer Jasprit Bumrah (1/26) and spinner Rahul Chahar (1/43) were also among wickets at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. Bairstow hit one six and had four hits to the fence in his knock, while Liam Livingstone (30) also contributed with the bat. But it was Moeen Ali's whirlwind 20-ball 43 which powered England to a good score in the end. India will next face Australia in their second warm-up match at the same venue on Wednesday (October 20) while England will lock horns with New Zealand in Abu Dhabi.
