A measure of the true heroes is their tribulation. When all goes well, even just humans can appear. However, when the chips are low, men are separated from boys. In 2019, there were a few cases in which athletes from all sports disciplines made great returns and remembered why they should never be abandoned.TIGER WOODSThe past few years have not been nice to Tiger Woods. Shaken by personal problems, a series of back surgeries and loss of shape, Woods had to endure many lows. His back was slow to recover after undergoing a fourth surgery in 2017. By the end of that year, Woods rating had dropped to 1,199 in the world. Many felt that the 43-year-old had already spent his best moments. The golf legend looked at its former self at the end of the first six British Open and PGA championships last year. But the ice on the cake arrived in 2019 when Woods won the Augusta Masters in April. The fifteenth major was not a walk in the park. His last major win was at the US Open back in 2008. Woods' year ended with him leading US to the Presidents Cup comeback win in Melbourne this month.ANDY MURRAYDespite playing in an era in which three great players have played, Roger Federer, Raphael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray succeeded in shaping his identity with three Grand Slam titles and two gold medals at the Olympic Games. He could have won more if not due to a thigh injury threatening his career that first appeared in mid-2017. Since then, former no. 1 in the world had to spend a lot of time on the sidelines, even daily tasks such as wearing shoes proved to be hard mission. The injury led to Murray's announcement a day before the Australian Open this year that he was considering leaving the game. But the second hip surgery and a lot of strength and durability helped him return. He returned to the ring at Queen's Club in June at a doubles event and has been playing regularly sience then. He proved himself by winning the European Open in October, beating Stan Wawrinka in the final.Read More: MS Dhoni named captain of Cricket Australia ODI team of the decade, Virat Kohli Test skipperSTEVE SMITH & DAVID WARNERIn March 2018, Steve Smith and David Warner became villains in Australia when they were accused of a ball-scandal scandal in a match against South Africa. Smith and Warner were later banned by Cricket Australia for 12 months, causing many to question whether they could return from this important setback. However, they not only both returned to the Australian team, but they did it elegantly. While Warner had a big impact on the World Cup with 647 runs at a rate of 71.88, the subsequent "Ashes" series revolved around Smith. The former captain scored 774 runs in four tests against England with an average of 110.57 and sent a strong statement that he is still one of the best hitters in the world. Warner could have had a terrible chain of ashes series, but since then he has made peace in experimental cricket with an impressive tripe century against Pakistan at home.NATHAN ADRIANIt was a year of the American swimmer Nathan Adrian's roller coaster. Early in the year, Adrian was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He underwent several surgeries followed by physical therapy sessions. The 30-year-old announced in May that he had fully recovered and was on his way back to swimming at the first level. In July, the five times Olympic gold medalist helped the United States win the 4x100m freestyle relay at the World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea. After being shown in worlds, Adrian revealed that test times in the first half of the year gave him a new perspective. "Things have changed a lot. Like, I sleep and dream of winning medals, but in the end, there are more important things in my life. I think I am more aware of them now. I am happy because it happened (cancer) to me when I was 30 years old and could Swim for a long time"CHRISTIAN LEALIIFANOThe 32-year-old Australian rugby star is a universal icon. Christian Lealiifano bravely fought against leukemia in 2016 and obtained bone marrow for transplant from his sister Sally. Doctors told Christian that he would never play rugby again. However, Christian proved that his doctors were wrong by returning to field the following year. Christian had lost 12 kg during treatment and marked his return when he went to the Irish team Ulster. He soon appeared in ACT Brumbies and returned to the heyday of his strength. A good series of Australian team management convinced him to attend the Rugby World Cup in Japan this year. Christian could not persuade the former Australian champions to beat the quarter-finals of the competition, but his ability to overcome all odds and return in the bigger stage, the World Cup, spoke of his commitment and levels of fitness.RAFAEL NADALThe injuries are not new to Raphael Nadal, but with each passing year, it should be difficult for the Spaniards to recover, given the cost his body has suffered over the years. At the beginning of 2019, Nadal was against it. He was sidelined with an abdominal injury at the end of 2018 and then retired from Brisbane International, before the Australian Open in January this year, due to his swollen left thigh. However, he recovered in time for the first Grand Slam of the Year and finished second, losing to Novak Djokovic in the final. Soon after, he was again off the field with a right thigh injury and had to withdraw from Indian Wells and Miami. But then, he returned to Monte Carlo in the field, his natural habitat, as expected, with his twelfth title at the French Open title in Paris. While Rafa had to retire in the semifinals at Wimbledon, his nineteenth grand slam title came in the United States Open, where he defeated the Russian Daniel Medvedev in five sets. In the process, he is only one short of Roger Federer in the Grand Slam. He also finished the year in the first place in the world, the oldest in ever, at 33 years.Read More: Bio of top 10 famous international cricketers

The reopening of stadiums and sports complexes (from May 18) may lead the Indian Sports Federations to begin their plan to resume training of athletes. Sports events remain on the list of prohibited activities. On Sunday, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a new set of guidelines that will be followed during the fourth stage of the nationwide lockdown, one of which is the opening of stadiums and sports complexes, but spectators will be barred."The sports complexes and stadiums will be allowed to open, but the spectators will not be allowed," said the statement issued by the MAHA agency. However, one of the guidelines said in the notice published on Sunday that sporting events will continue to ban even in the fourth phase. The reopening of stadiums and sports complexes from Monday (May 18) may lead to India’s sports federations plan to resume sports, which could pave the way for the resumption of athletic training, which stopped in mid-March. Athletes based at the Indian Sports Authority of India (SAI) complexes in Patiala and Bengaluru have demanded a resumption of training.BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal, said earlier this week that the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore was preparing to be the site of a " post-lockdown regime" for Indian cricket players in the fourth phase of the lockdown. He said that some "skill-based outdoor exercises" would be the way Indian cricket would start restarting, adding that cricketers such as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who are in high-risk areas of Mumbai, will not attend these camps.Article Source: indianexpress.com
In the absence of live sports, the fantasy sports league platforms have turned into alternative means of maintaining user interaction such as games, quizzes, and old favorites such as ludo and rummy. This year’s edition of the Indian League (IPL) was expected to be bigger than ever for the many online sports tournaments. But the Covid-19 pandemic and the indefinite suspension of the cricket tournament has put huge marketing and advertising plans on hold, forcing many platforms to switch tracks. One of the best-known fantasy leagues in India is Dream XI, which has former India captain MS Dhoni as the brand ambassador and has been an official partner of IPL since 2018. The platform claims to have 70 million registered users, but pending sports, the platform has entered hibernation. A platform spokesman declined to comment on this article. He said: " Businesses such as our company rely heavily on the availability of live sports stadiums, and this part of the revenue has certainly had an impact, and this is not hidden because globally sports were in the background." said Vinit Godara, CEO and co-founder of fantasy sporting league MyTeam11.But Godara said that the influx of users on the platform remained stable despite the absence of the sport. That’s because great sporting tournaments like MyTeam11, My11Circle, HalaPlay, and BalleBaazi have turned into alternative ways to keep users interested like games, competitions, and old favorites like ludo and rummy.MyTeam11 has introduced new products such as MyTeam11 Quiz and MyTeamRummy which, according to them, ensure the growth and participation of users. The test consists of hourly quizzes in 10-question format and requires users to pay 28 rupees and can earn up to 100 rupees for each correct answer. There are also Bollywood and personality tests. For example, a test about Indian Cricket Leader Virat Kohli has questions like "When did you start playing cricket" etc.Read More: Fantasy Cricket Websites in India"Traffic has increased more than 4 times in recent weeks.Piyush, founder and CEO of Rooter, said they have seen more engagement since the start of the national blockade on March 24. MADRID: The Spanish health ministry said on Tuesday that the Spanish Health Ministry is considering whether to allow fans to return to soccer fields when the season resumes later in June after a three-month pause due to the new Coronavirus pandemic. Health Emergency Coordinator, Fernando Simon said on Tuesday.Simon explained that the areas that have gone through the third phase of the de-escalation process could be allowed to hold matches with spectators, but added that it could be prevented from doing so for sporting fairness. The top flight will start again on June 11, with the Segunda Division resuming a day later, and the LEGA organizer said that all matches should be played without follow-up to avoid a second wave of coronavirus outbreaks.Read More: Premier League to restart on June 17But second-tie Las Palmas began a discussion about the return of the fans after their boss, Miguel Angel Ramirez, said he hoped fans could attend his first match against Girona.Simon said the issue was discussed on Tuesday in an online meeting between Health Minister Salvador Illa and Sports Minister Irene Lozano and four La Liga players, including Gerard Pique from Barcelona and Coke from Atletico Madrid. He added that the players and the sports department do not want supporters at the matches until each club is allowed to take them back."The Sports Department agreed with this matter with the players," said Simon. These are some of the major rules in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) prepared by the Indian Cricket board which will be sent to IPL franchise soon for the T20 Championship expected in the UAE from September to November. There will be no fans in the stadium, at least initially, commentators will be six feet apart, the least crowded shelters, no more than 15 players in the locker room, post-match prize shows for social distancing rules, and four COVID tests in two weeks for all players. These are some of the major rules in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) prepared by the Indian Cricket Board which will be sent to IPL franchise soon for the T20 Championship expected in the UAE from September to November. While awaiting government approval to transfer IPL-13 to the United Arab Emirates, the Emirates Cricket Council confirmed its interest in hosting the event after receiving a request from BCCI.Speaking to a news agency, an official at the BCCI said that not only players in the field, including their wives and friends (WAGs), and franchises, should follow the rules of "bio-bubble" would be determined."Once they enter the bio-bubble, no one can break it and join it again," the official said."The BCCI will not decide whether WAGs and family members can travel with the players, we leave it to franchises. The official said, but we have established a protocol in which not everyone, including the team's bus drivers, can leave the bio-bubble. The standard operating procedures for the franchises will be issued as soon as we meet." With the next week. If you have a complaint, you can return to the meeting and we will discuss it."SOP also states that each player will undergo four Covid tests within two weeks before the tournament starts. Two tests will be performed in India before departure and two during quarantine in the UAE.The SOP was prepared according to the rules laid down by the Cricket board of England and Wales for a series of tests against the West Indies. In the past, players representing India joined IPL teams separately, but this relaxation was not allowed this time. They will have to enter a bio-bubble with the rest of their team members. With most perks with teams of 20 or more players, along with a large number of support staff, some key SOP guidelines relate to housing. Teams will not be allowed to change hotels once they are appointed.BCCI has already asked concession holders to sort out the hotel's logistics and arrangements, although the council will help get discounts during reservations. It is known that only negative sellers enter hotels, changing rooms, and other designated areas. The BBCI will also provide standard operating procedures to broadcasters and officials.Given that the Covid curve is expected to crush the UAE by then, the official said there is a possibility that fans could watch the live event from the stands since September. But BCCI does not risk. "We don't want to take a risk. At least during the first part of the tournament, the matches will be played behind closed doors," the official said.According to Gulf News, the United Arab Emirates announced 375 new cases on Wednesday, bringing the number of state cases to 59,921, with 53,202 cases recovered. Also Read: BCCI shares detailed plan for IPL 2020 in UAE

"When I officially announce my retirement from cricket," Watson said in a video clip on Tuesday, "I feel crazy lucky to have lived my dream, and more."“It really seems like the right time. Knowing that I played my last cricket match, for my beloved CSK, which has been incredibly good for me for the past three years. I think I am ending my playing days when I was 39 after all the setbacks caused by The injuries I've been through along the way, I feel very lucky. "Watson won two IPL titles: with Rajasthan Royals in 2008 and CSK in 2018.In 145 IPL games, he scored 2,029 points and also took 92 wickets. It was also distinguished by four centuries and twenty-one centuries. He is the only cricketer in IPL history to date to score more than 2000 points and take more than 50 wickets as well. The 39-year-old has played in several T20 tournaments around the world and is retiring with 8,821 rounds and 216 wickets from 343 games.
The Annual Big Bash League has introduced three new terms of play that will be applicable starting with the upcoming 10th season beginning next month. Power Surge, X-Factor Player, and Bash Boost are the three new bases that Cricket Australia hopes to "exploit" the current situation of T20 cricket. Here are the three rules:Bash Boost: This is basically a bonus point that will be awarded to the team that is ahead of the race in the middle stage. For example, if team A scores 1/70 of a point 10 times past it and Team B scores 67/2 in the same stage, then the former will get a bonus point.X-Factor Player: In the first half, after the 10th player is thrown, the team may present a previous target player as the twelfth or thirteenth before kick-off. However, this X-Factor player can only replace someone who has yet to hit or has not offered more than one player.Power Surge: This will be a period of two where only players are allowed outside the inner field circuit. The hitting team may request her at any time after their last eleventh in turns. However, Powerplay's six overrun period has now been reduced to four.Aside from these major changes, winning teams will now receive three points instead of two, as was the practice in previous releases of BBL.CA advisor Trent Woodhill said such changes would improve the game.According to cricket.com.au, Woodhill said, "We need to innovate because people love change, but I think these (changes) will really improve the game itself." "I'm coming from a high-performance perspective, not just a gimmick, so I like these changes to pass the high-performance test on strategy and elite performance."Woodhill also feels this will make captains and coaches more accountable and accountable for their decisions."He'll pressure the leaders and coaches. Having played more than 300 T20 matches in the men's and women's games, the T20s have a pattern, and that will spoil that pattern away. It'll make the players think a little, and ... force you on match day to have a story where Fans and broadcasters alike will have to delve into the research and ask questions about decisions that have been or are not being made, "he said. Also Read: IPL 2020 Final Result: Mumbai Indians become the fifth time trophy winner

In 2022.Despite this postponement, our athletes will continue to have important competitive opportunities available in the first part of 2021 through the Inbound World Tour, which includes 26 meetings spread over 12 countries in Europe and North America."The indoor world tour runs from the end of January until the end of February 2021 and is organized into three different levels of competition: gold, silver, and bronze."Also Read: FIS ALPINE WORLD SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021 IN CORTINA CONFIRMED

Lionel Messi finally signed his long-awaited contract with PSG on Tuesday night to complete the move and confirm the end of a long-term relationship with FC. Barcelona sends Paris Saint-Germain into a new era.Paris Saint-Germain said in a statement that the 34-year-old Argentine star had signed a two-year contract with the option for a third season. "I am excited to start a new chapter of my career at Paris Saint-Germain," said Messi. "Everything at the club matches my football ambitions. I know how talented the team and the coaching staff are here. I am determined to help build something special for the club and the fans, and I can't wait to stepping out onto the pitch at the parc des princes. Salary details were not disclosed, but a person familiar with the negotiations previously told The Associated Press that Messi will receive about 35 million euros ($ 41 million) from his net worth annually. The person said on condition of anonymity before signing the contract. "I am delighted that Lionel Messi has chosen to join Paris Saint-Germain and we are proud to welcome him and his family to Paris," said Nasser Al-Khelaifi president of Paris Saint-Germain. "He has made no secret of his desire to continue competing at the highest level and winning titles, and of course our ambition as a team is to do the same."Crowds of Paris Saint-Germain fans gathered at Paris Le Bourget airport to greet Messi, who wore a jersey with the slogan "Ici c'est Paris" ("This is Paris").The words are a longtime familiar refrain from a favored fan chant at Parc des Princes stadium, where Messi is to be presented to them before kickoff of Saturday night's game against Strasbourg. So excited was his arrival that police had to push him to prevent the airport's metal barriers from falling down as fans rushed forward to get a better view. He then traveled to Paris, escorted by a police escort, which included several officers on motorcycles, all dressed in black at the rear. When the disbelief of relegation to one of the greatest footballers of all time became a sensation, many gathered to catch a glimpse of Messi on the field. They got their wish when the smiling star briefly greeted them before undergoing a medical examination. Earlier, Messi's father and agent, Jorge, also confirmed that his son was moving to Paris Saint-Germain in a brief exchange with reporters at Josep Taradillas Barcelona's El Prat airport, before boarding his flight in afternoon.Messi arrived with his wife and his three children and boarded a private jet."With all that, towards a new adventure. All five together," said Antonella Roccuzzo on Instagram with a photo of her with her husband on the plane.PSG supporters have witnessed their club's transformation over the past decade since the arrival of sovereign investments from Qatar tied to the emir. Once Messi's contract with Barcelona expired and the Catalan club couldn't retain him, Paris Saint-Germain was one of the few clubs that was able to finance a deal to sign the world's best player six times.Messi's arrival gives Paris Saint-Germain massive attacking options, as he is linked with World Cup winner Kylian Mbappé and Brazilian forward Neymar.Neymar posted on Instagram a video of the two hugging and playing for Barcelona: "back together."While PSG had to pay 222 million euros (then $261 million) to sign Neymar from Barcelona in 2017, there was no transfer fee for Messi. Messi has become the most desiered free agent in football history after his attempts to stay at Barcelona were rejected last week by the Spanish League because his salary did not meet financial regulations, with the Catalan club heavily in debt. 1.2 billion euros (1.4 million dollars) And soon, Mauricio Pochettino, coach of Paris Saint-Germain, got in touch with his Argentine after Barcelona announced last Thursday that Messi would be leaving the club, he joined at age 13. Messi won every major title with Barcelona and was granted a emotional press conference on Sunday to mark the end of an era.Only Cristiano Ronaldo in the current era challenges Messi's status as the greatest of all time. Paris Saint-Germain is hoping not only that Messi will help the team regain the French title it lost to Lille last season, but that it will ultimately win the Champions League. If Pochettino used the 4-3-3 method, the three in front could see Messi on the right. What should be less demanding is Paris Saint-Germain's compliance with the UEFA Financial Fair Play Rules. Some flexibility in the rules has been provided due to the pandemic and the changes are due to the system that is designed to stop losses. Paris Saint-Germain President Al-Khelaifi,as President of the Association of European Clubs and a member of the UEFA Executive Committee, is involved in the process of discussing a broader update of the FFP that could once again allow a spending without control. Sumit Antil, who has participated in able-bodied events including the Indian Grand Prix, said his goal is to qualify for both the Paralympic Games and the Olympics in 2024 and he will begin his training once he returns to India. Indian javelin thrower Sumit Antel now wants to compete against able-bodied athletes at the Paris Olympics three years from now. The 23-year-old from Sonipat shown his impressive performance on Monday when he broke his own world record not once but five times to take gold in the men's F64 javelin with a throw of 68.55 meters. Antel, who has participated in able-bodied events including the Indian Grand Prix, said his goal is to qualify for both the Paralympic Games and the Olympics in 2024 and will begin his training once he returns to the country. During my training, I have been touching the 70m-mark. And I dream of throwing between 75 to 80m and that should be enough to compete amongst the able-bodied athletes. “I wish to take part in both the Olympics and Paralympics. That’s my dream,” Antil, who lost his left leg below the knee after he was involved in a motorbike accident in 2015, said in a release issued by Paralympic Committee of India (PCI). “Once I return from Tokyo, I will be training for that for sure,” he added. If Sumit is allowed to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics, he will compete against countryman Neeraj Chopra, who recently won gold medal in men's javelin throw at the Tokyo Olympics. Interestingly, as the son of a JWO officer in the Indian Army, Antel competed against Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra in the able-bodied 3rd series of the Indian Grand Prix on March 5 at Patiala, where he finished seventh with a best throw of 66.43 meters. On Tuesday, Antel broke the previous world record of 62.88 meters, which is also set by him, five times a day. His last throw was a foul. His series read 66.95, 68.08, 65.27, 66.71, 68.55 and foul. Also Read- Shooter Avani Lekhara First Indian Woman To Win Gold At Paralympics"At the 2019 World Para-Athletics Championships, I settled for silver. I'm glad I was able to finally come out with a good performance and inspire the upcoming generation." It was very hot and humid that day in Tokyo, but Antil never looked bothered. "During the pandemic, I got special permission from the Sports Authority of India to train at home. I was prepared for all conditions - hot and humid. I trained late at night and this paid off well," said Antel, who hails from Sonepat. The Haryana athlete now hopes that Paralympic gold will give him a job once he returns to India. "Currently, I am unemployed and I am doing full-time training but I hope to get a job after this. Pakistan national team coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis resigned from their positions with the national team on Monday due to citing bio-bubble fatigue The decision helps to raise the eyebrows, since there is only one month left for T20 World Cup. Misbah and Waqar had one year left on their contracts after being appointed in September 2019. Notably, on Monday Pakistan announced their squad for the T20 World Cup and home series against New Zealand and England. Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis reported their decisions to the PCB on Monday.Meanwhile, Pakistan has appointed former spinner Saqlain Mushtaq and former all-rounder Abdul Razzak as temporary coaches for New Zealand Series. The Black Caps team, currently in Bangladesh, will play 3 ODI and 5 T20I matches in September and October. The Pakistani team is scheduled to assemble for their training camp on September 8. The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed that the support staff for the T20 World Cup will be appointed in the near future.'Don't think I am in the right frame of mind for upcoming challenges'Misbah-ul-Haq, who had to be quarantined in the West Indies for an extended period after testing positive for Covid-19, admitted that the timing of his decision was not right but he had to take the call to spend time with his family. "The quarantine in Jamaica post the West Indies series provided me with an opportunity to reflect on the past 24 months as well as the schedule for international cricket ahead. Considering that I would have had to continue to spend considerable time away from my family and that too in a bio-secure environment, I have decided to step down from the role," Misbah said, as quoted by a PCB statement. "I understand that the timing may not be ideal, but I don't think I'm in the right frame of mind for the upcoming challenges and it makes sense for someone new to step in and take the side forward."Also Read- ICC T20 World Cup 2021 complete schedule: India to face Pakistan on October 24 Decided to step down together: Waqar YounisWaqar Younis said he decided to step down after Misbah communicated his decision to him. “After Misbah informed me of his decision and his future plans, it was easy for me to resign as we had walked into the roles together, we worked collectively as a pair and now also step down together. La Liga may be shorn of its biggest name in Lionel Messi who left FC Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain but former Real Madrid player Fernando Morientes feels the Spanish league would not be "weakened" by the exit of the Argentine maestro.Messi joined Paris Saint-Germain's club last month is not the only high-profile exit from La Liga. In the last five seasons, players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Sergio Ramos have left Real Madrid or Barcelona."La Liga throughout its history has lost players, just like any other league... It is nothing new. Cristiano left, Neymar left, Messi and Ramos have also left," Morientes, who is also the La Liga ambassador, said during a virtual media interaction."Footballers will eventually leave, but clubs will stay. La Liga doesn't sell itself through a single player. La Liga is never going to have a problem to sell itself as a competition"."La Liga has done a spectacular job attempting to attract the best players to make it as competitive as always been."Morientes said it's an opportunity for the Spanish clubs to prove themselves at the marquee Champions League.“I would like to see a Spanish final in fact, because there are many people who think that Messi's departure has weakened the league. We have to show that this is not the case. Also Read- Lionel Messi signs two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain after leaving Barcelona"In the last 10-15 years, La Liga teams have always been very competitive in all European competitions. The Taliban said on Wednesday (September 8) that Afghan women cannot participate in sports, including cricket because sports activities "would expose their bodies." Ahmadullah Wasiq, deputy director of the Taliban's cultural committee, told the media that sports activities were not necessary for women. Earlier this week, the Taliban decreed that only a woman teacher would teach female students but if that was not possible then ‘old men’ of good character could fill in. “I don't think women will be allowed to play cricket because it is not necessary that women should play cricket. In cricket, they might face a situation where their face and body will not be covered. Islam does not allow women to be seen like this. It is the media era, and there will be photos and videos, and then people watch it. Islam and the Islamic Emirate do not allow women to play cricket or play the kind of sports where they get exposed,” said Ahmadullah Wasiq, the deputy head of the Taliban's cultural commission, in an interview. In November 2020, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) awarded contracts to 25 female cricketers. It also held a 21-day training camp for 40 female cricketers in Kabul. The International Cricket Council (ICC) requires its twelve members to have a women's national team and only full members of the ICC are permitted to play Test matches. Also Read- Afghan national team footballer Zaki Anwari dies in fall from US plane at Kabul airport When asked if no women’s cricket would mean ICC calling off the Hobart Test, Wasiq said the Taliban would not compromise. “Even for this, if we face challenges and problems, we have fought for our religion so that Islam is to be followed. We will not cross Islamic values even if it carries opposite reactions. We will not leave our Islamic rules.”Cricket Australia threaten to cancel Hobart Test against Afghanistan Meanwhile, Cricket Australia said it would not host Afghanistan for its first historic Test at Hobart if media reports about the women's team without the support of the Taliban are true. A match from the end of his bid for what would have been the calendar's first Grand Slam tournament in men's tennis since 1969, Novak Djokovic covered his face with a towel, hiding his tears during the changeover. In 27 Grand Slam matches in 2021, on hard courts, clay courts and grass, Djokovic is unbeatable. Needing one more victory, in Sunday's US Open final against Daniil Medvedev, to complete a season sweep for major titles and claim his 21st career record, Djokovic couldn't pull it off.Outplayed by someone using a similar style to his own, Djokovic came up just short of those two historic milestones, losing 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to first-time major champion Medvedev at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Also Read- Novak Djokovic outlives Stefanos Tsitsipas at French Open to win nineteenth majorA simply stunning performance from @DaniilMedwed pic.twitter.com/0sF1r2CiNg— US Open Tennis (@usopen) September 12, 2021No.1 ranked Djokovic had been sublime in the sport's top four tournaments, enduring the burdens of expectations and pressure for the past seven months and, in New York, the past two weeks. He beat Medvedev in the Australian Open final in February, then added titles at the French Open in June and Wimbledon in July.He made mistakes, 38 inadvertent mistakes in all. He couldn't convert the chance of a break until it was too small, too late, going just 1 for 6. He also showed frustration, destroying his racket by hitting it three times against the court after one point, drawing boos from the crowd of 25,703 and a code violation from chair umpire Damien Dumusois. List of players to defeat Novak Djokovic in a Grand Slam in 2021:Daniil Medvedev-end of list-— US Open Tennis (@usopen) September 12, 2021Much of Djokovic's troubles had to do with No. 2 ranked Medvedev, who used his 6-foot-6(1.98meter) frame to chase everything and respond with seemingly effortless groundstrokes, in the same way. that Djokovic wears down foes, and delivered pinpoint serving. Medvedev won 20 of his first 23 service points, forming a pattern. He finished with 16 aces and 38 winners in total, 11 wins more than Djokovic. After overcoming several double faults at match point, Medvedev finally finished the job, then toppled over to the court on his side. Djokovic reached the 31st Grand Slam final, equaling the record of six victories on the hard court at Flushing Meadows. But he couldn't get the last thing he needed. He remains tied with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal with 20 major titles. And the last man to complete a true Grand Slam going 4-4 at the majors in a single season remains Rod Laver, who did it twice, in 1962 and 1969, and was in the stands on Sunday. The last woman to achieve this feat was Steffi Graf in 1988. Instead, Djokovic joined Jack Crawford in 1933 and Lew Hoad in 1956 as men who won the first three Grand Slam tournaments over a year and reached the U.S. Open final before losing. Djokovic came out a bit cold Sunday, double faulted in each of his first two service games and mixed enough groundstroke fouls bowing his head or rolling his eyes after some that 12 minutes, Medvedev was a point from a second break and a 3-0 lead. Djokovic eventually used a couple of aces at 117 mph and 124 mph to hold there, but it was Medvedev who stole the show in the early going. It was the fifth consecutive match in which Djokovic lost the first set, and 11th in Grand Slam play this year, but unlike other cases, he was unable to win again. This moment though pic.twitter.com/dgvqLMpdBv— US Open Tennis (@usopen) September 12, 2021Djokovic got to love-40 in Medvedev’s first service game of the second set but did not come through on any of those break points. On the third, Djokovic put a sliced backhand in the net, then pounded his racket against his left thigh — one, two, three, four times, perhaps as disappointed in his footwork as anything. Thousands of fans tried to reinforce him by chanting his nickname "No-Le! No-Le! No-Le!" After some of Medvedev's mistakes, some in the stands would applaud, considered poor form in tennis and repeatedly admonished with a “please” from Dumusois. Also Read- Taliban set to ban womens sports in Afghanistan, claims report

The tournament is still wide open and Rajasthan need to win their remaining 2 matches to make it to the playoffs.Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, did not perform well as a unit in the second phase of the IPL. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has to reduce its dependence on funding from the International Cricket Council (ICC) as much of cricket's global governing body gets its funding from India, said the board's chairman Ramiz Raja. Ramiz said that this effectively means that cricket in Pakistan is at the mercy of Indian businesses and any political pressure in India to stop this funding can spell disaster for the sport in the country. "The ICC is a politicised body divided between the Asian and Western blocs and 90 per cent of its revenues are generated from India. It is frightening," the PCB Chief said appearing before the Senate Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial affairs on Thursday in Islamabad. "In a way India's business houses are running Pakistan cricket and if tomorrow the Indian PM decides he will not allow any funding to Pakistan, this cricket board can collapse," he added, but did not elaborate on the specifics. Also Read- ICC T20 World Cup 2021 complete schedule: India to face Pakistan on October 24 The former Pakistan captain also said that the ICC has reduced into an "event management company" considering how New Zealand and England are pulling out of their tours of the country. New Zealand canceled their tour just minutes before the start of the first match citing a security threat and Ramiz said some good news could be in store regarding the series in a week's time. "What New Zealand did was unacceptable because till now they have not shared any information with us on what led them to abandon the series in Pakistan. But they are now trying to reschedule the series," said Ramiz. "The good thing is they are working on something which means they want to mend things with us," he said. Also Read- Virat Kohli becomes first Indian batsman to score 10,000 runs in T20 format

Star all-rounder Ben Stokes, who had taken an indefinite break from all forms of cricket to focus on his mental health, was on Monday added to England’s Test squad for the Ashes series against Australia later this year. Stokes had taken a break from the game in July to focus on his mental health while also recovering from a finger injury he had suffered during the first leg of the IPL. “I had a break to prioritise my mental wellbeing and I got my finger sorted,” Stokes was quoted as saying by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). “I am looking forward to seeing my mates and being on the field with them. I’m ready for Australia,” he added. Stokes has been given the all-clear by his consultant and the ECB medical team to resume training following his second operation on a fractured left index finger, the ECB said in a statement. Managing director of England men’s cricket, Ashley Giles, said, “Following a very successful operation on his finger and several conversations over the last few weeks between Ben and I, our medical staff and his management team, Ben called me to say he was ready to return to cricket and was excited about the prospect of playing a significant role in the Ashes series. Also Read- Virat Kohli becomes first India captain in 29 years to lose World Cup match vs Pakistan “He will depart with the Test specialists and the Lions on November 4.” Stokes missed the home series against India and was not included in the T20 World Cup squad. However, earlier this month the 30-year-old posted a video on his social media about his return to training, which had given rise to speculation that he could appear in the five-Test series, which is due to begin in Brisbane. “Time and time again, benstokes has demonstrated how important he is to the England team and having him available for the Ashes series is excellent news for all of us and, in particular, Chris (Silverwood), Joe (Root) and the rest of the players,” Giles said. “Having not played for some time, we will move forward cautiously over the next few weeks to ensure he is fully prepared across all facets of his game. “Ahead of a very busy period of cricket, we continue to remain mindful of the stresses on all our personnel, and our primary focus continues to be the wellbeing of all of our players and support staff.”Also Read- T20 World Cup: Mohammed Shami faces vicious online abuse after India loss to Pakistan
The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiled Ahmedabad and Lucknow as the two new teams for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 after CVC Capitals Partners and Sanjiv Goenka's RPSG Group submitted a successful bid for the franchises in Dubai's Taj Hotel. The RPSG Group picked Lucknow as their home base with a winning bid of Rs 7090 crores while CVC Capital Partners have opted for Ahmedabad with a bid of Rs 5625 crores. The BCCI on September 21 announced that they have decided to extend the purchasing date for the Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the right to own and operate one of two proposed new IPL team documents till October 20 from the original deadline of October 5. "The Governing Council of the IPL had issued an Invitation to Tender (“ITT”) to acquire the right to own and operate 2 (two) new franchises. Pursuant to the tender process, various interested parties submitted their bids for the new franchises. The bids were submitted by the authorised representatives of the interested parties at Dubai today. "BCCI is pleased to announce the following successful bidders (subject to definitive documentation and other formalities being completed): "1. RPSG Ventures Ltd. Lucknow (for INR 7090 crores) "2. Irelia Company Pte Ltd. (CVC Capital Partners) Ahmedabad (for INR 5625 crores) "The new franchises will participate in IPL from 2022 season onwards subject to the bidders completing the post-bid formalities as specified in the ITT document. The IPL 2022 season will comprise ten teams and will have 74 matches, wherein each team will play 7 home and 7 away matches," the Indian cricket board said in an official release. Before 2022, the 2010 edition of the cricket ipl also featured 10 teams, with Pune Warriors India and Kochi Tuskers Kerala joining the tournament before both franchises were terminated. The BCCI will add two new teams after six years. In 2015, it added two teams - Rising Pune Supergiants and Gujarat Lions - for the 2016 and 2017 editions as replacement for the then suspended Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals teams. The BCCI was expecting a windfall in the range of Rs 10,000 crore but to their surprise, they earned Rs 12,690 crore from the two new teams that will participate in the 2022 IPL tournament. One of the major companies that lost out was Gautam Adani's Adani Group which bid around Rs 5000 crore while bids of Glazers from Manchester United and Torrent Group also fell short of the mark. It was also learned that Rhiti Sports, promoted by MS Dhoni's manager Arun Pandey, submitted a bid for Cuttack which was later rejected. Also Read- T20 World Cup: Mohammed Shami faces vicious online abuse after India loss to Pakistan

Pakistan Television (PTV) has slapped a Rs 100 million defamation notice on former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar for walking out of a show on air last month after a heated argument with the host Nauman Niaz. Shoaib Akhtar had walked out of a PTV programme and resigned from his job as a cricket analyst after being told to leave the set by the host of the show at the state-owned channel while analysing Pakistan's victory over New Zealand at the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. PTV has now sent a defamation notice to the mercurial sports star as his on-air resignation violated the clause and also resulted in financial losses for the channel. "As per clause 22, both sides shall have right to terminate his agreement by serving three months' written notice or payment in lieu thereof. Whereas, Shoaib Akhtar resigned on air on October 26 which has resulted into huge financial losses to PTV," the notice read. Novak Djokovic won a record-extending sixth Paris Masters title by avenging his U.S Open final defeat against Russian Daniil Medvedev with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory in Sunday's showpiece match. The Serbian, who is guaranteed to secure the year-end world number one spot for a record seventh time, needed time to adjust to break the world number two's sturdy defence but was unstoppable once he found his opening. Djokovic was looking to avoid ending a season without the Masters title for the first time since 2017 and kept his cool at all times to accomplish his mission against the holder. Medvedev was overwhelmed in the third set and bowed out of the contest on the first match point when Djokovic unleashed a superb forehand winner down the line. Medvedev broke in the opening game as Djokovic made a flurry of unforced errors with the lanky Russian keeping him on the back foot. The world number one drew 2-2 but Medvedev stole his serve again to advance 4-3 up with a splendid sliced backhand at the net. The Russian then held serve twice to pocket the first set when Djokovic back long. However, the Serbian turned the tables in the second set, leading 3-1 when Medvedev buried a backhand into the net. Djokovic served and volleyed to save a break point at 5-3 and saw off a second with a big serve. Medvedev set up a third with a spectacular block at the net but the top seed's first serve again came to the rescue. In the end, Djokovic led the match into a decider with an ace on his third set point. Serving for the match, Djokovic gave Medvedev plenty of space and the Russian pulled a break back but his tank was empty and he surrendered on his serve in the next game. Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have produced some unforgettable moments on the football pitch and surprisingly they have been doing that consistently for more than 15 years now. The duo have won a combined total of 11 Ballon d'Or's, which is an award of high prestige, while numerous star footballers have missed out on the prestigious award because of the domination from Messi and Ronaldo. Interestingly, year 2021 has proved out to be full of surprises for both the footballing greats. Lionel Messi has left FC Barcelona and now plays for Paris Saint-Germain due to Barcelona's financial problems. The 33-year-old Argentine is currently struggling in his new club with injuries coming into play and a change of role in terms of positioning. No one deserved the 2021 Ballon d'Or more than Lionel Messi pic.twitter.com/1ZGJGsbVg0— Ishan (@LionelFutbol) November 5, 2021However, 2021 is not that bad season for Lionel Messi as before joining PSG, the little magician won Copa America with Argentina and scored 30 goals in 35 matches in La Liga for his former club FC Barcelona. However, Messi is yet to score a league goal for PSG, but has scored 3 goals for the French club in the Champions League. Messi won 34 club career trophies with FC Barcelona, including 10 La Liga titles and 4 Champions League titles. In addition, he has won the Ballon d'Or for a record six times which is the most by any player ever to play football. On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo once again impressed with his return to Manchester United new now, as the striker has time and again saved the Red Devils' blushes by scoring crucial goals. In the process, he even became the top scorer in three different big leagues England, Spain and Italy, thus creating a new record. Christian Ronaldo scored 29 goals for Juventus in Serie A and also become Portugal's top scorer with 111 goals for his country in 2021. The rivalry between these two can define a whole era and decade of football. Who's better? It's an endless debate with too many opinions from too many people but one thing is for sure that Ronaldo and Messi will go down as two of the greatest footballers that the world has ever witnessed. Also Read- Rohit Sharma named India T20I captain for New Zealand series
India Look To Keep Winning Combination In RanchiIndia concludes its recent disappointment at the 2021 T20 World Cup with a five-wicket victory over New Zealand in the T20I series at Jaipur. The Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, led Rahul Dravid to victory in his first match as a new senior coach. However, the think tank may not have thought much about his victory as it took time to correct the goals of the 165 races set by the visitors. For the second game, the team manager may consider joining the same group to win the series before making any changes to Game XI before the final.Kuala Lumpur Raffle: The newly appointed T20I Deputy Captain is looking forward to a modest lead in the first game, scoring only 15 times from 14 balls. Rahul looked good on the patch, but he couldn't move forward and turned his back in an attempt to catch Mitchell Santner.Rohit Sharma: The captain drove head-on, showed various shots and then dropped a single score of 48 points. Winning as captain gives Rohit new confidence in the rest of the match.Suryakumar Yadav: Suryakumar went out on the field with a positive intention and did nothing for the player in his amazing 62 game strike with a hit rate of over 150.Rishabh Pant: Wicket-keeper Pant showed a great application and played in a good position when Daryl Mitchell hit the out-of-bounds in the final round of the match and pushed the team to the goal line.Shreyas Iyer: Iyer's return to the team was unforgettable after being removed from the Indian team at the T20 World Cup in the UAE and Oman. Ayer looked weak during an eight-ball stint in the penalty area and missed the ball along the way. At that time, management expected him to drive the team home with his pants.Venkatesh Iyer: All-terrain rookie Venkatesh Iyer didn't have the opportunity to play the ball, but he started his football career with an international cricket with four great people. However, he would be disappointed not to end the game because he was the victim of the reverse sweep of Mitchell's delivery.Axar Patel: Axar tries to win more in the game at Ranchi without losing a small gate in the opening match. He allowed 31 runs with 4 overs and he faced only one ball while chasing India.Ravichandran Ashwin: Ashwin was late in the wicket line, but he certainly had an impact when he got two wickets with two decent numbers of 23. The two wickets helped reduce New Zealand's culling rate.Bovneshwar Kumar: The form of Bovneshwar in the first match was very positive for the Indian national team. He seemed to be in full control as he shook the ball in both directions to catch two wickets in a six economy.Deepak Shahar: Shahar wants to improve the economy by giving more than 40 points in the first match. He threw the ball into the right area, but often lost control of his streak and handed many poor deliveries to New Zealand batters.Mohamed Siraj: Siraj looked like someone who came from a break after the IPL. His improvements can only be expected in the next match of the series. He made a small cut with 4 overs giving 39 rounds. For read daily article and know about sports news to visit here - Pitchhigh

Mumbai: With time running out and India's various plans to travel to South Africa, BCCI now has no choice but to sit at a table with Cricket South Africa (CSA) and reschedule the series.BCCI is still trying to see if the three test matches can be reduced to two, giving the Indian team more time before flying. Any calls to this effect will likely be answered within the next 48 hours. The Indian cricketer remains unconvinced by the tour yet to play three Tests, three One-Day Internationals, and four T20Is. Arriving in Mumbai to play the second Test against New Zealand and knowing that the vital bubble is immediately expected to enter, players have many questions and no answers.Team members recently raised a series of questions as news began arriving over the past two weeks of a very rapid switch to a news release in countries such as South Africa and Botswana. However, both the BCCI and Cricket South Africa (CSA) said that while the chain could unfold within a very strict biosecurity bubble, minimal air travel would be required within South Africa to ensure the chain occurs, thus minimizing any outside influence. . Risk contact Ajay. The first two Tests are slated to take place in Johannesburg and Centurion at a distance from each other, while the third Test and white-ball matches are scheduled to take place in Cape Town and Paarl, again a short drive away. The Indian leadership was determined to bring the players back and answer the questions posed. TOI understands that BCCI has accepted the idea of answering these questions in the form of questions and answers, which has not yet happened.“Until the players get a response from the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, there will be confusion because no one knows anything. But if you look at the statement from a ministerial department in the South African government, it emphasizes the security operation. Thanks to BCCI that the two countries share a deep bond. It's his way of saying, "Come on and we'll take care of it. The ball is in the court of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry now.”For the record, the South Australian Department of International Relations wrote to the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry this week. Those in the know say the BCCI is confident in the tour and the fact that it can be done within a strict biological bubble, especially with the guarantees the South African government and the CSA have made in favor of the setup. However, the Indian Board of Directors has yet to consider the possible renegotiation and rescheduling as it is short on time.Despite the CSA's guarantee, BCCI will also have to make efforts to explain security protocols to players and this can only happen through conversations.“There is no sign of talks yet. Officials are busy preparing for the general assembly meeting in Kolkata on December 4. There is also a meeting of the IPL board of directors. Where is the time? Now they should be in an active mode now. It has been,” the sources said. From Wednesday, the Indian team will be busy with the second Test in Mumbai and again it takes time to sit at the table with the players and talk about it. In such a case, BCCI has no choice but to reschedule the series. In the meantime, it must be said that this tour from South Africa to India will be very important for the CSA and its finances, especially since the pandemic will have a significant impact on the gambling economy in their country. "If the tour doesn't take off, the CSA is going to take a big hit in the knee," say those who follow those events.visit here to check the latest today sports news - PITCHHIGH

Mumbai: India's Cricket Oversight Board (BCCI) is considering all possible ways for Virat Kohli to play three international matches (ODI) a day after a test series in South Africa next January. It can be argued that Kori actually told the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce (BCCI) that he wanted to take a break during the ODI, but this happened before he took over as the captain of the ODI team, and the dispatch was for him. It's a big job. A clear message that "everything is going well within the Indian team"."Sometimes it's not just doing the right thing, it's also being considered doing the right thing," says people following these events. It's all up to Kori to prepare the team to talk to the media on Wednesday the night before leaving for South Africa. It is known that the former Whiteball captain "wanted the rest for personal reasons unrelated to the rumors that he was angry with the change of captain."For the record, Kori repeatedly warmly talked about Sharma as a teammate, and Sharma responded to that feeling again while talking on the official BCCI website on Monday. "For the five years he (KHolI) was leading the team, he always drove head-on. He had the unmistakable courage and determination to win every game. I'm his captain. I played a lot underneath and enjoyed every moment, and I still do. "BCCI certainly wants that friendship to be reflected in the field. This will not only bring a lot of positiveness to the setup of the new Team India but will also ease all unnecessary controversies. When a senior BCCI executive asks if Kori agrees to change his plans and lag behind ODI, he will see what can be done here from a team perspective. All cricket players can take a break from a busy schedule throughout the year, but BCCI also believes that Kori, who takes a break during this time, may not be able to "send the right message."President Sourav Ganguly of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce said in an official statement on Sunday that he "discussed personally with Kori" and "the elected chairman of the board did not ask him to resign as captain of the T20. ". , He said he had not resigned from Kori yet. But I didn't share my opinion. Request a break from ODIKohli’s views on the matter haven’t been heard yet except the social media post that he came out with on September 16, announcing that he was stepping down as T20 captain but will continue leading the team in Tests and the ODIs."The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce has always said that the split captain of cricket does not allow baseball, and it is clear from Gangley's statement that Kori is informed. He himself said this, People who follow development say.For More Latest News, Updates to Visit Now:- PITCHHIGH

In the end, there was no raucous celebration, no wild punches, and no moving screams as the Indian team crushed Fort Centurion on just 12 balls in Thursday's second session. It looks like the world's number one test team is now accustomed to wearing the look of excellence away from home.Instead, it was gratifying to see winning sprinter Jaspreet Bumrah run into Virat Kohli's style and pat him on the back. Kohli responded, as she usually does, with a dismissive smile, her way of showing hard-to-get pride.SCORECARD | AS IT HAPPENEDProgress is measured by milestones, and Thursday's 113-race victory over South Africa in the first round is a huge step forward. India's first test win in this stronghold for the home team (South Africa has now the year began with a Raising Voices Revolution victory, another victory at Gabba in Brisbane, and a three-hole victory at Ft. India has the only other example of winning four events outside of Asia in a calendar year, as in 2018, after victories at Lord's, The Oval and now Centurion. "It's always a difficult place to play and we have to be precise," Kohli said.st, only three of the 27 Tests here, and have never lost to an Asian team before) is a sure sign that Virat Kohli-il's team are poor travelers. Keep traditional beliefsIt's a cycle that started off the shores of South Africa in 2018 and took the team's rapid battery development into a well-tuned lethal machine full circle. India has yearned for such amazing wealth for generations. They are clearly in a hurry now to make adjustments.Bhumrha, Mohamed El Shami (8/107 per match), and Mohamed Siraj are three unique examples of India's fast bowling art. Bumrah, Twisted, Apprentice, Whip, Biomechanics nightmare, can use folding and the ball will move at high speed. He can magically work as he did with India before the wicket lunch for Dean Elgar on the last day of a tough phase of the match, sending van der Dussen off the day before.Elgar (77 of 156 balls; 12 x 4) made a positive start and with South Africa advancing, there were moments of doubt. Was the second entry into India sufficient? Why did the court not act as it did on the fourth day? Enter the Bumrah and the infamous Centurion Rift. Bowling ball low and fast, and Elgar went too far and lost his sight. With this lbw, the South African resistance evaporated.Bhumrha was the first to successfully transfer his skills from short formats to the test arena and pave the way for the likes of Siraj. “We talked about it in the locker room. He didn’t throw Bumrah too much in the first rounds (he twisted his ankle), it allowed the SA to get 40 again. We had a lot of confidence in our bowlers to get the job done,” Kohli said. Indian Cricket Over the past 4-5 years, the bowling unit has played an important role. The way these people play together, our team is in difficult situations,” Kohli said. Then there is Shami, according to Kohli "among the top three bowlers in the world". It's impossible to judge Shami when she's at her climax. “For me, he is one of the top three fast shooters in the world right now,” Kohli said. "His strong wrists, his put-together, his ability to beat lengthwise consistently... He's totally world-class." Shammy, who had already kicked Elgar out of his bowling alley, fixed it by shooting Mulder and Jensen in a late stitching position.India can win easily despite being tired out all day, and that is something they will appreciate. In terms of game and surface nature, KL Rahul's first roles turned out to be the deciding factor, as Dean Elgar acknowledged. Here again, it was the difference between the two fast attacks that came to the fore. India's fast bowling has ensured that South Africa is eliminated under 200 for only the third time in each half since they entered international cricket. Meanwhile, Rabada, Ngidi, and Mulder were inconsistent that first morning and were guilty of not getting the hitters to play enough on a quiet surface. Also, Read - Sports Calendar 2022 | World Sporting Event Calendar
Boils down to mental approach towards the decider if Kohli’s men are to succeed in uncharted territoryThe trick is in the mind. The decisive match here in Newlands will be one of the biggest matches for India in its test history.A victory here and they will achieve what no other Indian team has achieved. Win a series of tests in South Africa. Can India occupy the last frontier? The 1-1 streak will put a lot of pressure on the Indian team. This is an opportunity to tick a really big box.But then the Indians will have to do a good job of removing the Final Frontier element from their minds and handling the crucial element like any other Test match, starting on January 11th.So that they can play more freely in this sunny city and sea. However, India's obsession with long and fast bowlers, citing them as a reason why fast bowlers buy less pitch in the Wanderers' second trial, is little more than a clever disguise. If height was really a factor, how did Chardol Thakur, India's youngest fast shooter, with Mohamed Shami score seven first-half runs and work his way through the South African squad? And no Protea player, regardless of height, took seven stakes in the Test or cast a more devastating spell.Forget the height. These are the areas where you go bowling. If India's bowlers, regardless of their height, had consistently hit cracks, as Chardol did in the first innings in South Africa, India would have won.And when testing resumed on the fourth day, the ground was very dry. In any case, the ball was cleaned and dried with a towel before each shot. How do Indian fast-hitting shooters from South Africa hit the body so many times if the ball is really slippery? Can you do that with a slippery ball?Logic and common sense go out the window when looking for excuses from a win-win situation.Siraj's placeAnyway, the past is the past, and looking to the future, given the crucial event in Newlands, India needs to choose a replacement for Muhammad Siraj.A hamstring injury, especially for a fast bowler, can make a comeback, and India certainly shouldn't risk Sarraj in the crucial match. So it is all about choosing between Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav.Ishant is slowing down, not dropping, and not at its best lately. However, when he finds his groove, he can still throw a nice bouncy streak. And following current Indian thinking, who yearns for higher runners, Ishant might get the nod.He said Umesh made a little mistake in the chances he had. He's a faster, more versatile player, has a nice slingshot, can return the ball, and he's definitely faster than Ishant. In fact, when he had a rare opportunity against England in the Oval League last year, Umesh, who played with fire and fired three strikes per turn, was instrumental in India's victory. He made his first test for India with Joe Root and David Malan. But after that, Umesh will likely be ruled out again. Also, read - Dravid Gives Update On Virat Kohli's Availability For Cape Town Test
According to a report, the new IPL franchise Ahmedabad is considering multi-talented Hardik Pandya to lead. Pandya was launched last year by the long-running Indian franchise of Mumbai, although it has been an integral part of its creation since its inception in 2015.The Mumbai Indians, five-time IPL winners, decided to retain captain Rohit Sharma, hitter Suryakumar Yadav, Jaspri Pomrah, Jasper Pomrah, and Kieron Pollard while releasing the rest of the team.Pandya represented the franchise in 92 games, scoring 1,476 points with an average of 27.33 and also collecting 42 wickets. He worked primarily as a terminator, often tearing up the system.Investment firm CVC Capital has won the tender for IPL's Ahmedabad franchise, while the Lucknow-based team will be owned by RPG Group. The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry has reportedly given both teams until the end of January to sign three players of their choice ahead of the massive auction in February.According to a report in India Today, in addition to Pandya, Imtiaz Ahmedabad is also hoping to bring in Rashid Khan and beat Ishan Kishan.Rashid was released by the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise, who decided to keep Kane Williamson, Imran Malik and Abdul Samad. Kishan was liberated by Mumbai Indians.Pandya's stock has gone down since he had major back surgery, after which he couldn't hold back at full speed. As a result, he also lost his place in the Indian Test team. The last time he played for India was at the 2021 T20 World Cup in the UAE, where the team could not get past the group stage. He was not selected for the three-game T20I series against New Zealand after the main event and there were conflicting reports behind the decision.Initially, his physique was reported as the main reason why he didn't make up the team, but then TOI reported that the Selectors saw no advantage in playing Pandya only as a hitter.Get all IPL news and cricket scores here - PITCHHIGH
Paral: Shekhar Dhawan believes that every weakness in his career made him "strong", but his serenity and calmness made him go through tough times. The oldest player in India's ODI, he was made much of Dhawan's poor level in domestic cricket, but as was the case with the 36-year-old, he is back with his favorite blue jersey. AndPlaying shots in the middle of suspended sums is not easy.NOT AN EASY WICKET TO PLAY SHOTS IN MIDDLE OVERS“We got off to a good start and I think the wicket was slow, and it was also taking a little turn. So when you're chasing (almost) 300 rounds, when the middle rank comes in the at-bat, it's not an easy thing to play.”. shooting.“Our pendulums fell into piles and it affected us like a beating unit,” Dhawan said.Dhawan also paid tribute to South African pair Temba Pavuma (110 out of 143) and Rasi van der Dousen (129 out of 96) for their remarkable horns, which paved the way for victory. When asked about the turning point in the match, he said, "I think my two South African rackets hit really well and took the turns very deeply."YOUNGER BATTERS NEED TO MOULD GAME AS PER DEMANDS Dhawan believes that dealing with different match situations comes with experience and the likes of Rishabh Pant, Iyers - Shreyas, and Venkatesh will understand better as they play more games.“It (the discussion) that we have to play according to the situation and what the situation requires, putting the team ahead and the individual's game is important. The left-hander was asked again how the middle-ranking problems could be fixed, and he replied: "Look at our thought process as a unit or a team we're building our team for the 2023 World Cup, so there are going to be some hiccups. Here and there, which is good and we as a team, we analyze How can we improve?ROHIT'S ABSENCE IS A FACTORDhawan believes the team will be stronger after the return of white-ball captain Rohit Sharma and the middle-ranking will also perform cricket better."And I think we all have good clarity now because we have this group of groups and they are going to be there and how they can be improved.“There is no Rohit (Sharma) now, as soon as he comes back an experienced player will come and the middle-ranking (Rahul goes down) will be strong. So the youngsters who have chances will benefit from this experience. We are looking at the big picture.”
How does luck change in the game in 20 days! On December 30, India kicked off their powerful South Africa Tour, recording a 113-round overall win over South Africa in their first Test at Centurion. His dream of securing his first Test series win in South Africa seemed closer than ever.Less than a month later, the India tour risks turning into a nightmare. After their dream of the "Test" was shattered by a 2-1 decision in favor of the owners of the land, their captain announced his resignation. The troubled tourists took another blow when they lost 31 times in their first ODI in Paarl. With questions emerging after each loss, India will be desperate to return to survive in the ODI series when they are even more impressive than South Africa in their second ODI at the same venue on Friday.Less than a month later, the India tour risks turning into a nightmare. The year-old has been the subject of much controversy, and the logic of replacing him with Ayer is sure, who made his ODI debut, will cause controversy.India clearly lacks confidence in Ayer's ability to break out internationally, which has raised a serious question mark against the Madhya Pradesh cricketer being considered a multi-skilled player to replace Hardik Pandya. Although the Proteas' batsmen easily plundered the run, the captain did not contact Iyer once. Also Read - Tough times made me stronger but needed calm and clarity, says Shikhar Dhawan
MUMBAI: Young pacemaker Imran Malik says he would like to cross the speed of 155 km/h someday, but his main focus is on bowling in the right areas as he claimed his first pentathlon in the IPL.The 22-year-old put Jammu Sunrisers Hyderabad on the brink of winning by numbers 5/25 before Rahul Tewatiya and Rashid Khan smashed four sixes in the final as the Gujarat Titans won the match by five. shutter.Although his efforts were in vain, Imran was declared Man of the Match by one of the best bowlers in IPL history.Umran Malik with a casual 153 km/h yorker to send Wriddhiman Saha packing. I took out Hardik Bhai with a goalkeeper and mixed (Wridyman) Saha and took him out with Yorker.”"I tried to mix up my bowling and focus on the wicket because it's a small ground. Otherwise, our bowling would have been fine."Asked if he still wanted to touch 155 km/h, he said: "I just want to throw in the right areas and in good terrain and if I have to do it above 155 mph, God willing, I will one day."Malik has been consistently running at over 150 kilometers per hour throughout the season, taking 15 wickets in eight games for an average of 15.93.Malik went into attack late on the eighth day, delivering devastating fast delivers through the Gujarat Titans' top rankings, becoming the first IPL footballer to take the first five wickets of innings. He smashed Shubman Gill's torso on his first wicket, before sending out Hardik Pandya with a combination of speed and jump.Next, he produced a perfect speed of 153 km/h to break a wicket and Redman Saha, before David Miller and Abinav Manohar each signed five wickets. Also, Read - Who is the new God of cricket after Sachin Tendulkar?
The story of Kuldeep Yadav's return is increasing day by day. He was only able to pick up five wickets in 14 games for the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2019 and 2020 before setting off the bench for good in 2021. In the two games he's played against KKR this season, Kuldeep now has eight wickets in his bag alone. On Thursday night, he took 4/14 reserve 4/35 in the previous game. When he broke the KKR draw for the second time this season, he offered Team Delhi Capitals a comeback in the competition by restricting KKR to 146/9. His spell set up the game for a tense assortment of hits in the capitals to chase the target with six balls and four wickets to spare. The undefeated Ruffman Powell 16-ball 33 calmed nerves on the Capitals bench when David Warner knocked off 26-ball 42 and captain Rishabh Pant 2 for 84/5 on 12. The KKR's freefall under new captain Shreyas Iyer isn't over.Kuldeep publicly expressed the confidence Rishabh Pant put in him during the tournament. He delivered it back at Wankhede Stadium. After Mustafa Rahman, Chetan Sakarya, Aksar Patel, and Chardol Thakur choked each other out in a power game, Kuldeep claimed a share of IPL starters Baba Inderjit and Sunil Naren in the second and third balls. Spell to reduce KKR to 4/35.Kuldeep Yadav has picked up his fourth wicket and Andre Russell goes for a duck.Just as Iyer seemed to gain some momentum with his 42 for 37, Pant miraculously caught a shot from Kuldeep. The dangerous Kuldeep tricked Andre Russell three balls later and stopped him for a duck. The pitch looked double-paced and Coldip's bluff was too much for the KKR's hitting lineup, which was 83/6 on the 14th.Despite all the talk about Pant's faith in Kuldeep, he hasn't let Kuldeep complete his full quota of four sums. Perhaps the KKR had a window to break out, and Nitish Rana replaced Lalit Yadav with an 18 in 17 runs to add some momentum to the roles. Rana seemed to be the only stable thing in the chaotic KKR arena that cut and replaced their eleventh game in a big way. The team does not match the team that started within the tournament. With his calm head and clear vision, he threatened to inflict great damage on the people of the capital with 57 out of 34 balls. During his 34-ball 62 trade partnership with Rinku Singh on the seventh wicket, Rana was exposing the weak points of the capitals. Bowling of Death Mustafizur played his magic in the final, conceding just two runs and catching three wickets, finishing four overs at 3/18 numbers, and making sure KKR didn't get away with the game.Read More - Who is Richest Cricketers in the World | PITCHHIGH
Just a week ago, the Gujarat Titans won the 2022 Indian Premier League in style. This was his first appearance in the tent tournament. Hardik Pandya led the team that contributed to the win with bat and ball. There were other notable actors such as Shopman Gill, Rashid Khan, Muhammad Shami, and Rahul Twatia who rose to the occasion again and again. But one name just popped up, and that's David Miller. The South African middle-ranked batsman won the most matches (6 total) and, during the chase, was often at the top of his game.Miller hit first place at number five and became the sixth top scorer in the tournament. He scored 481 points in 16 games with an average of 68.71 and a hit average of 143.Proteas captain Themba Bafuma is hoping Miller can continue his brilliance in the next five-match series between India and South Africa T20I, which will begin on June 9 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi."Obviously, it's very nice and gives us a lot of confidence to have David Miller fit and confident. Also, his IPL performance... and as a team, we're going to build that confidence and the knowledge that is to come." "He will bring," Bafoma said. For South Africa, Miller's bats were ranked sixth, but Pafuma indicated that the left-handed could advance.“The talk has always been about David upgrading the standings and letting him take on a lot of balls and be more devastating. He knows his place in our team and his role in the team. He has… played a little bit. OK. But if there is a chance to deliver more. From the shipments to David, I'm sure this will be something that will be looked at."Quinton de Kock is another South African who performed excellently in the IPL and will now appear in the upcoming T20I series. De Kock finished third on the IPL scoring list, scoring 508 points with an average of 36.28 and a strike rate of 148.97. His runs also included the tournament's highest score - an undefeated 140 that de Kock broke against the Kolkata Knight Riders.Another hitter from South Africa, Aidan Markram, also did well. Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad and hitting the ball for 139.05, Markram scored 381 points with an average of 47.62.Among the bowlers, Kajisu Rabada has done what he does in every intense league season and is ranked third in the list of best wicket-takers. Rabada picked up 23 wickets in just 13 games for an average of 17.65, with an economy average of 8.45. His best score came 4/33 against the Gujarat Titans' final champion."It's good to see some of our guys in great shape. KG (Kagiso Rabada) is on track to get faster than 100 wickets in the IPL (currently at 99). It's a matter of pride. Quente (Quinton de Kock) Bafuma talks about his team's prospects, he said. Also Read - Registered FIR Against MS Dhoni, 7 Others in Bihar's Begusarai
New Delhi: Rishabh Pant's journey in international cricket was as unexpected as his beating. He has always risen through the ranks while facing criticism for his extravagant play. Although doubts remain over his persistence, Bant became the youngest Indian captain in T20I as KL Rahul was disqualified from the T20I series against South Africa due to a back injury on Wednesday.Calm and relaxed man, Pant showed off an intense look during alternate training at Firuzach Kotla on Wednesday, the day before the first T20I against South Africa. Working with match officials and fielding drills in the scorching sun, Pant was preparing for his big day. As he walked off the field and headed to the pre-match press conference, he said, “I am very happy this happened in Kotla. I wish Mr. Tarak (his childhood coach who passed away last November) had had this. We were there to see the moment.”Pant's career really took off after the pandemic. They have spent most of the past two years riding the biosecurity bubble. When India's bubble ban was lifted, he took a leave of absence on Wednesday morning to visit his graduate Venkateswara College in south Delhi, where he had honed his skills in the sonnets club as a teenager. A few hours later he was informed that he would be the captain of the Indian team for the series."It feels great, even though it didn't come in good condition. The news came only an hour ago, so I'm addressing that too. I really want to thank the people who have been with me through thick and thin," Pant said, addressing the media. It is so."Although he replaced regular captain Rohit Sharma, Bant's rise comes at a time when Dinesh Karthik is forcing another revival. One might remember Pant losing to Karthik initially in the 2019 World Cup Finals. Set to be the T20 World Cup five months from now, Karthik pushes her to the same spot again. If Pant feels secure about his place on the T20 side, it's time. Head coach Rahul Dravid has focused on building a core team for the future. With Pant as captain and IPL-winning captain Hardik Pandya as backup, the message is that management is ready to continue investing in Pant.|This was evident as Dravid was seen spending a lot of time with Pant while discussing game plans during team training over the past two days.“It’s the best thing to have (Dravid) around. I worked with him during his under-19 days, with India and the IPL as well. So, there is a lot of experience there. There is a lot to learn from him, like how to act on the pitch, discipline, and game strategy.”Pant doesn't walk here like a rookie captain. He's had the best and worst response in the past two years as captain of the Delhi Capitals. He said, "Captain DC will help me a lot." I am the one who learns from mistakes. He said, "When you keep doing the same thing over time, you get better and keep learning from it, and I think this will help me. I'm going to lift my chin and do my best."You know it's full now. But he is aware of the team's big goals in the World Cup. The very cautious T20 hit has been banned in India for some time now. Pant promised that the change would be visible."As a team, we have thought about some of the goals that we want to achieve as a team. We are constantly working towards them. We are thinking about the World Cup. In the next few days, there will be a lot of changes." pant claimed. When his first pressure as India captain was over, he moved into the center draw and engaged in long sessions of relentless hard-hitting. Look at the next few days? Can.Also Read - Registered FIR Against MS Dhoni, 7 Others in Bihar's Begusarai

Former India national team player Virender Siwaj feels current captain Rohit Sharma could be relieved of the duties of captain of the T20 team so that the 35-year-old can better manage his workload.Rohit has not been able to appear in all India matches since taking over as captain due to injuries and workload management. "If the Indian team management has someone else in mind as a leader in the T20 format, I think Rohit (Sharma) can be relieved and the following can be taken into consideration in the future," Sehwag told PTI in an interview.“One, it would allow Rohit to manage his workload and mental fatigue, given his age.“Secondly, once a new person is appointed as captain of the T20s, it will also allow Rohit to take breaks and rejuvenate to lead India in both Tests and ODIs,” he said in an interaction arranged by the Sony Sports announcer. Indian official. England series. However, Sehwag emphasized that if the team management maintains its current policy of having a single leader to lead India in all three formats, Sharma remains an ideal choice."If the Indian think tank still wants to continue with the same policy, which is to allow one man to lead India in all three forms, then I still think Rohit Sharma is the best man for that." While there have been plenty of permutations and combinations at the moment ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year, the former Indian has claimed that his top three choices among batsmen for the tournament will be Rohit Sharma, Ishaan Kishan, and KL. Rahul Star batsman Virat Kohli is the number three batsman in India at the moment.“India has a lot of options when it comes to hard-hitting in T20. However, I would like to personally assure Rohit Sharma, Ishaan Kishan, and KL Rahul as the top three hitters of the World Cup in Australia. He added, “The combination of right and left-handed Rohit Sharma and Ishaan may be Kishan, or for that matter, Ishan and KL Rahul, is so much fun for World T20."Sehwag, who was notorious for taking several dreaded pacemakers to cleaners in the prime of his life, praised young defibrillator Imran Malik and believes the 22-year-old should appear in the World Cup alongside Mohamed Elshamy and Jaspreet. Bumrah is one of the mainstays of Indian bowling.“If there is one pacemaker that has impressed me a lot lately, it is Imran Malik. He should definitely be a part of India’s plans as a major bowler alongside the likes of Jaspreet Bumrah and Muhammad Shami.” "This IPL has given us many promising young bowlers, but Imran's skills and talent will definitely earn him a place in India in all three formats in the long run," he commented.
