A measure of the true heroes is their tribulation. When all goes well, even just humans can appear. However, when the chips are low, men are separated from boys. In 2019, there were a few cases in which athletes from all sports disciplines made great returns and remembered why they should never be abandoned.TIGER WOODSThe past few years have not been nice to Tiger Woods. Shaken by personal problems, a series of back surgeries and loss of shape, Woods had to endure many lows. His back was slow to recover after undergoing a fourth surgery in 2017. By the end of that year, Woods rating had dropped to 1,199 in the world. Many felt that the 43-year-old had already spent his best moments. The golf legend looked at its former self at the end of the first six British Open and PGA championships last year. But the ice on the cake arrived in 2019 when Woods won the Augusta Masters in April. The fifteenth major was not a walk in the park. His last major win was at the US Open back in 2008. Woods' year ended with him leading US to the Presidents Cup comeback win in Melbourne this month.ANDY MURRAYDespite playing in an era in which three great players have  played, Roger Federer, Raphael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray succeeded in shaping his identity with three Grand Slam titles and two gold medals at the Olympic Games. He could have won more if not due to a thigh injury threatening his career that first appeared in mid-2017. Since then, former no. 1 in the world had to spend a lot of time on the sidelines, even daily tasks such as wearing shoes proved to be hard mission. The injury led to Murray's announcement a day before the Australian Open this year that he was considering leaving the game. But the second hip surgery and a lot of strength and durability helped him return. He returned to the ring at Queen's Club in June at a doubles event and has been playing regularly sience then. He proved himself by winning the European Open in October, beating Stan Wawrinka in the final.Read More: MS Dhoni named captain of Cricket Australia ODI team of the decade, Virat Kohli Test skipperSTEVE SMITH & DAVID WARNERIn March 2018, Steve Smith and David Warner became villains in Australia when they were accused of a ball-scandal scandal in a match against South Africa. Smith and Warner were later banned by Cricket Australia for 12 months, causing many to question whether they could return from this important setback. However, they not only both returned to the Australian team, but they did it elegantly. While Warner had a big impact on the World Cup with 647 runs at a rate of 71.88, the subsequent "Ashes" series revolved around Smith. The former captain scored 774 runs in four tests against England with an average of 110.57 and sent a strong statement that he is still one of the best hitters in the world. Warner could have had a terrible chain of ashes series, but since then he has made peace in experimental cricket with an impressive tripe century against Pakistan at home.NATHAN ADRIANIt was a year of the American swimmer Nathan Adrian's roller coaster. Early in the year, Adrian was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He underwent several surgeries followed by physical therapy sessions. The 30-year-old announced in May that he had fully recovered and was on his way back to swimming at the first level. In July, the five times Olympic gold medalist helped the United States win the 4x100m freestyle relay at the World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea. After being shown in  worlds, Adrian revealed that test times in the first half of the year gave him a new perspective. "Things have changed a lot. Like, I sleep and dream of winning medals, but in the end, there are more important things in my life. I think I am more aware of them now. I am happy because it happened (cancer) to me when I was 30 years old and could Swim for a long time"CHRISTIAN LEALIIFANOThe 32-year-old Australian rugby star is a universal icon. Christian Lealiifano bravely fought against leukemia in 2016 and obtained bone marrow for transplant from his sister Sally. Doctors told Christian that he would never play rugby again. However, Christian proved that his doctors were wrong by returning to field the following year. Christian had lost 12 kg during treatment and marked his return when he went to the Irish team Ulster. He soon appeared in ACT Brumbies and returned to the heyday of his strength. A good series of Australian team management convinced him to attend the Rugby World Cup in Japan this year. Christian could not persuade the former Australian champions to beat the quarter-finals of the competition, but his ability to overcome all odds and return in the bigger stage, the World Cup, spoke of his commitment and levels of fitness.RAFAEL NADALThe injuries are not new to Raphael Nadal, but with each passing year, it should be difficult for the Spaniards to recover, given the cost his body has suffered over the years. At the beginning of 2019, Nadal was against it. He was sidelined with an abdominal injury at the end of 2018 and then retired from Brisbane International, before the Australian Open in January this year, due to his swollen left thigh. However, he recovered in time for the first Grand Slam of the Year and finished second, losing to Novak Djokovic in the final. Soon after, he was again off the field with a right thigh injury and had to withdraw from Indian Wells and Miami. But then, he returned to Monte Carlo in the field, his natural habitat, as expected, with his twelfth title at the French Open title in Paris. While Rafa had to retire in the semifinals at Wimbledon, his nineteenth grand slam title came in the United States Open, where he defeated the Russian Daniel Medvedev in five sets. In the process, he is only one short of Roger Federer in the Grand Slam. He also finished the year in the first place in the world, the oldest in ever, at 33 years.Read More: Bio of top 10 famous international cricketers

New York:Athletic reported on Tuesday that the Brooklyn Nets' Kevin Durant test results were positive for coronavirus, less than a week after the outbreak worldwide led to the suspension of the NBA season."Everybody be careful, take care and quarantine. We will get past this," said all 10 NBA Durant ten stars.Nets had said earlier Tuesday that four of their players were isolated and under the care of team doctors after they had been diagnosed with Coronavirus, but did not identify the individuals.Durant signed with Nets last summer but was neglected due to Achilles' injury sustained during the NBA Finals last season when he played for the Golden State Warriors. The team said: "The organization is currently informing anyone who was aware of contacting players, including new opponents, and is working closely with local and state health authorities to report.""All players and members of the Nets Travel Group are required to remain isolated, closely monitor their health and maintain ongoing contact with the team's medical staff."Three of the players were asymptomatic, while one showed symptoms of the rapidly spreading virus just days after Utah Jazz announced that two of its players had confirmed their infection with the Coronavirus.Nets played their last game against the Lakers in Los Angeles on March 10. A day later, the league suspended its season until further notice, as the coronavirus epidemic struck major sporting events around the world.Read More: Coronavirus Pandemic Affects On Sports Events

The reopening of stadiums and sports complexes (from May 18) may lead the Indian Sports Federations to begin their plan to resume training of athletes. Sports events remain on the list of prohibited activities. On Sunday, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a new set of guidelines that will be followed during the fourth stage of the nationwide lockdown, one of which is the opening of stadiums and sports complexes, but spectators will be barred."The sports complexes and stadiums will be allowed to open, but the spectators will not be allowed," said the statement issued by the MAHA agency. However, one of the guidelines said in the notice published on Sunday that sporting events will continue to ban even in the fourth phase. The reopening of stadiums and sports complexes from Monday (May 18) may lead to India’s sports federations plan to resume sports, which could pave the way for the resumption of athletic training, which stopped in mid-March. Athletes based at the Indian Sports Authority of India (SAI)  complexes in Patiala and Bengaluru have demanded a resumption of training.BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal, said earlier this week that the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore was preparing to be the site of a " post-lockdown regime" for Indian cricket players in the fourth phase of the lockdown. He said that some "skill-based outdoor exercises" would be the way Indian cricket would start restarting, adding that cricketers such as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who are in high-risk areas of Mumbai, will not attend these camps.Article Source: indianexpress.com

In the absence of live sports, the fantasy sports league platforms have turned into alternative means of maintaining user interaction such as games, quizzes, and old favorites such as ludo and rummy. This year’s edition of the Indian League (IPL) was expected to be bigger than ever for the many online sports tournaments. But the Covid-19 pandemic and the indefinite suspension of the cricket tournament has put huge marketing and advertising plans on hold, forcing many platforms to switch tracks. One of the best-known fantasy leagues in India is Dream XI, which has former India captain MS Dhoni as the brand ambassador and has been an official partner of IPL since 2018. The platform claims to have 70 million registered users, but pending sports, the platform has entered hibernation. A platform spokesman declined to comment on this article. He said: " Businesses such as our company rely heavily on the availability of live sports stadiums, and this part of the revenue has certainly had an impact, and this is not hidden because globally sports were in the background." said Vinit Godara, CEO and co-founder of fantasy sporting league MyTeam11.But Godara said that the influx of users on the platform remained stable despite the absence of the sport. That’s because great sporting tournaments like MyTeam11, My11Circle, HalaPlay, and BalleBaazi have turned into alternative ways to keep users interested like games, competitions, and old favorites like ludo and rummy.MyTeam11 has introduced new products such as MyTeam11 Quiz and MyTeamRummy which, according to them, ensure the growth and participation of users. The test consists of hourly quizzes in 10-question format and requires users to pay 28 rupees and can earn up to 100 rupees for each correct answer. There are also Bollywood and personality tests. For example, a test about Indian Cricket Leader Virat Kohli has questions like "When did you start playing cricket" etc.Read More: Fantasy Cricket Websites in India"Traffic has increased more than 4 times in recent weeks.Piyush, founder and CEO of Rooter, said they have seen more engagement since the start of the national blockade on March 24. The platform that allows users to communicate and chat about sports is to watch people "consume all kinds of content," he said."Users are also downloading massive amounts of content through photos and videos, which creates a great appeal for other sports fans. Therefore, while the active sports schedule is great for our business, the current blockade has increased the participation in Piyush said."Rooter has also recently collaborated with Paytm, and Piyush expects a boost once live sports events are restarted. "If the IPL line and the T20 World Cup go according to plan, we will see massive growth this year after the games also became part of our show," he said.Paytm First Games allowed users to play ludo, rummy and dozens of other mobile games. On the Google App Store, the app promotes a ludo tournament where users can earn up to 10 rupees lakh in cash on Paytm.“Our traffic has increased more than 4 times in the past few weeks compared to the days before the close. Sudhanshu Gupta, Operations Manager at Paytm, said we see a daily flow of more than 1 lakh of new users on the platform with a healthy contribution of more than 60% of traffic New users coming from Level 2 and 3 cities. The first games.Gupta said that the app is planning to offer more games like carrom in the future and they have seen more than a lakh of users participating in the Ludo tournament. He said that the first eSports Championship got more than 12,000 records."We would like to continue building on the momentum gained in the past 6-8 weeks by adding more exciting games and toys in the coming weeks," Gupta said.Follow the TickMyShow Ticket app similar path in the absence of sports tickets or other events.Albert Almeida, COO of BookMyShow Live Entertainment., said: "We have worked closely with our partners in the e-sport category, as we offer various options such as Pubg and Mafia - Bin Patti Khelo Humare Saath Course, among others, for players across the country."Almeida said that more than three million people attended these events and added more options to the list of virtual experiences. By the way, the MyTeam11 survey, conducted on the app among more than 10,000 respondents, found that more than 40% of respondents said they'd rather watch sports at home until the Coronavirus vaccine was available.Prepare to openAfter weeks in prison, the sporting world is slowly recovering. The main Bundesliga, the Bundesliga, started playing on empty ground. Watch thousands of soccer matches in South Korea on YouTube. The Premier League hopes to start in June. India has now opened stadiums to allow athletes to start training, but there is little clarity in organizing sporting events. IPL is still uncertain. But this is a welcome change for these platforms."For us at Rooter, we started covering the Bundesliga in the first game last weekend and we will develop a commitment to all sports when they return to work," said Piyush from Rooter.Article Source: indianexpress.comRead More: How To Play Fantasy Cricket and Win Real Cash Online?

MADRID: The Spanish health ministry said on Tuesday that the Spanish Health Ministry is considering whether to allow fans to return to soccer fields when the season resumes later in June after a three-month pause due to the new Coronavirus pandemic. Health Emergency Coordinator, Fernando Simon said on Tuesday.Simon explained that the areas that have gone through the third phase of the de-escalation process could be allowed to hold matches with spectators, but added that it could be prevented from doing so for sporting fairness. The top flight will start again on June 11, with the Segunda Division resuming  a day later, and the LEGA organizer said that all matches should be played without follow-up to avoid a second wave of coronavirus outbreaks.Read More: Premier League to restart on June 17But second-tie Las Palmas began a discussion about the return of the fans after their boss, Miguel Angel Ramirez, said he hoped fans could attend his first match against Girona.Simon said the issue was discussed on Tuesday in an online meeting between Health Minister Salvador Illa and Sports Minister Irene Lozano and four La Liga players, including Gerard Pique from Barcelona and Coke from Atletico Madrid. He added that the players and the sports department do not want supporters at the matches until each club is allowed to take them back."The Sports Department agreed with this matter with the players," said Simon. "This decision was not made by the Ministry of Health because it is not something we take into account when assessing the risks.""We did not give a firm answer as it is clear that we are not yet in a position to do so, but it is true that the Minister of Health has promised to assess the risks. These are some of the major rules in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) prepared by the Indian Cricket board which will be sent to IPL franchise soon for the T20 Championship expected in the UAE from September to November. There will be no fans in the stadium, at least initially, commentators will be six feet apart, the least crowded shelters, no more than 15 players in the locker room, post-match prize shows for social distancing rules, and four COVID tests in two weeks for all players. These are some of the major rules in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) prepared by the Indian Cricket Board which will be sent to IPL franchise soon for the T20 Championship expected in the UAE from September to November. While awaiting government approval to transfer IPL-13 to the United Arab Emirates, the Emirates Cricket Council confirmed its interest in hosting the event after receiving a request from BCCI.Speaking to a news agency, an official at the BCCI said that not only players in the field, including their wives and friends (WAGs), and franchises, should follow the rules of "bio-bubble" would be determined."Once they enter the bio-bubble, no one can break it and join it again," the official said."The BCCI will not decide whether WAGs and family members can travel with the players, we leave it to franchises. The official said, but we have established a protocol in which not everyone, including the team's bus drivers, can leave the bio-bubble. The standard operating procedures for the franchises will be issued as soon as we meet." With the next week. If you have a complaint, you can return to the meeting and we will discuss it."SOP also states that each player will undergo four Covid tests within two weeks before the tournament starts. Two tests will be performed in India before departure and two during quarantine in the UAE.The SOP was prepared according to the rules laid down by the Cricket board of England and Wales for a series of tests against the West Indies. In the past, players representing India joined IPL teams separately, but this relaxation was not allowed this time. They will have to enter a bio-bubble with the rest of their team members. With most perks with teams of 20 or more players, along with a large number of support staff, some key SOP guidelines relate to housing. Teams will not be allowed to change hotels once they are appointed.BCCI has already asked concession holders to sort out the hotel's logistics and arrangements, although the council will help get discounts during reservations. It is known that only negative sellers enter hotels, changing rooms, and other designated areas. The BBCI will also provide standard operating procedures to broadcasters and officials.Given that the Covid curve is expected to crush the UAE by then, the official said there is a possibility that fans could watch the live event from the stands since September. But BCCI does not risk. "We don't want to take a risk. At least during the first part of the tournament, the matches will be played behind closed doors," the official said.According to Gulf News, the United Arab Emirates announced 375 new cases on Wednesday, bringing the number of state cases to 59,921, with 53,202 cases recovered. Also Read: BCCI shares detailed plan for IPL 2020 in UAE

Dream11 IPL 2020: RR vs CSK Match Prediction Who will win todays match?

  • 827

Finally, the wait is over and I now have the Indian Premier League for 2020. The tournament we have all been looking forward to has got off to a great start. After a thrilling duel between the Indians in Mumbai and Chennai Super Kings in the first match, the Delhi Capitals and the 11th Kings of Punjab made an explosion. The start of IPL definitely made the wait worthwhile, as the tournament had only just begun.Next in the tournament is the Chennai Super Kings who will face the Rajasthan Royals. While the Super Kings have already had a picnic, it will be the first game for the royals. The Chennai Super Kings looked rusty at the start of their first match but were back to their usual best condition before the match ended. The Rajasthan Royals have a good squad coming from England and considering these players have been playing for quite some time already, the royals may not need a warm-up. CSK and RR, the two great and fiercely competitive teams meet on September 22, 2020, at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah.TEAM PREVIEWSRAJASTHAN ROYALSRajasthan Royals is perhaps one of the least glamorous teams in the tournament, and it is definitely rich in talent. While they pride themselves on their patriotic talent, this time they have some great international T20 players available. They took center stage when disagreements surrounded the Indian Premier League and thus were banned from participating in the tournament for two years, 2016 and 2017. They haven't been able to do much since then as they failed to qualify for the qualifiers on neither side. Later seasons. But this time, Rajasthan Royals has a solid squad, at least on paper, and that's mainly because of their strong top-ranking. Jos Buttler, Steve Smith, David Miller, and Robin Uthappa are some of the game's best advocates. Ben Stokes' participation in the tournament is still under the clouds, but he is sure not to be a part of the squad in the first matches of the Rajasthan Royals. Jos Butler, who has been isolated from his family according to the protocol, will also come out of his upcoming Royals game. Given the way Butler has been, his absence is definitely a major setback for the royal family.Although it is not their greatest strength, the Rajasthan Royals is full of resourceful Indian players who have proven themselves on the national circuit. Shreyas Gopal is an experienced baseball player and is as good as any player in the competition. He's also impressed the past year and with potentially favorable conditions for the spinners, Gopal will have a vital role to play. With Stokes and Buttler not playing in Game 1, the onus is on Sanju Samson and Yashasv Jaiswal to get the Royals off to a good start on the ball. While Sanju Samson is well known for his skills, Yashasvi Jaiswal broke aside thanks to his excellent U19 cricket performance. Along with Ryan Parag, Jaiswal will undoubtedly be the one to watch out for.Rajasthan Royals had a distinct weakness in Bowling Death, but with Tom Curran the way it is, there may be no need to fix Death Bowling problems. Curran was brilliant against the Australians in the recently concluded T20I series and with Archer ready to play alongside him, the Royals had two players who are good at killing. Slow launches from the UAE have to match the likes of Unadkat and Tye, providing management with a good number of options to choose from. While the royals had a solid squad on paper before the tournament began, Jus Butler's absence definitely leaves their plans a little muddled. Since the deck will likely slow down as the game progresses, the importance of quickly scoring a new ball cannot be overstated. Given that, a lot will depend on the likes of Robin Uthappa and Jashasvi Jaiswal. While they are not short of talented Indian players, the royal family is definitely lacking in Indians who have good local experience behind them. Their group is made up of mainly young Indians, and this could be a weakness that CSK might look to exploit.Rajasthan Royals is one of those teams rich with stellar players, who can all defeat them again a day. However, the absence of Stokes and Butler definitely takes the balance out of the squad. Since there aren't many experienced Indians at their disposal, they are highly dependent on their foreign players, especially Archer and Smith. The conditions in Sharjah are sure to suit them and if their foreign players can serve as a good example then the Royal Family team will be a tough team to deal with.CHENNAI SUPER KINGSWith Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh withdrawing from IPL 2020, the Chennai Super Kings appeared to be in trouble. However, as he always does, not only did MS Dhoni manage to fill the holes in the opening match, but he also managed to lead his team to another victory. It wasn't easy and there were some apparent weaknesses, but a win will definitely instill a lot of confidence in the team. The Chennai Super Kings victory in the first match was a tale of two halves. They looked tense and unprepared for the first half of the first half, but they dressed up again with great spells from Sam Curran and Piyush Chawla. Ravindra Jadeja and Lungi Ngidi brilliantly rushed out to knock out five wickets between them in the event of death changing the tone of the match. Mid-stage, CSK dropped its momentum with them, but that momentum was short-lived as they lost Shane Watson and Murali Vijay early on in the chase.Pave de Plessis seemed irritable throughout his inning, but a superb shot from Ambati Raudeau failed to press Fave de Plessis as the duo added 115 points to finish third. With an impressive appearance from Jadeja and Curran, Faf du Plessis sealed the deal when CSK won the match with four extra balls and five wickets in hand. While the Super Kings had many positives to glean from the opening match, their biggest comfort was a superb Fave win in third place, an area that Suresh Raina has owned for a long time. Given that CSK sealed the deal without injuring MS Dhoni or Kedar Jadhav, it says a lot about depth in the hitting lineup. They hit it deep with Deepak Chahar available to reach 10th place and that could be a nice advantage in critical situations. With Fave de Place in third place, the struggle for third place appears to have disappeared. With that being said, management will be wary about the top spots as Murali Vijay and Shane Watson didn't get off to a good start. These are the early days of the tournament, and while we expect MS Dhoni to stick with Watson, Murali Vijay may not have a long rope. He was never comfortable against James Pattinson and gave in to one on the inside, falling for the lead. With RetragJaquad and N Jagadisan in the team, CSK will definitely start looking for these options soon. We can even see a change in the next match with Gaikwad or Jagadeesan instead of Vijay. Sam Curran's excellent performance puts Dhoni in a nice pickle to choose between Dwayne Bravo and Sam Curran when the Caribbean player gets into shape. The Chennai Super Kings have never been such a scary team. At least it was never as terrifying as the Mumbai Indians or the Royal Challengers in Bangalore. The secret to their success so far has been the captain of MS Dhoni and the team efforts of the Chennai Super Kings always. They are very good at adapting to conditions and that will be very helpful this year. They have done well against the strong side of Indians in Mumbai and they should keep doing well in the upcoming matches as well.Predicting TOSS RR VS CSKBoth sides have preferred to play first in both games so far, and those decisions made sense at last with the pictorial spray in both games. Although the deck will likely slow down as the game progresses, splashing might make hitting a lot easier in game 2. Also, this is the first game on this deck and both sides will want to look at it before hitting. So, hopefully, the captain who wins the field will pass first.Pitch and conditionsThe average first-half results in the UAE hover around the 155-round mark and the average first-half winning score is just under 170. Although in various places, the totals in the first two matches were around the race mark of 160 and made for exciting competitions. We expect the surface in Sharjah to be a lot more friendly to strikes and shooters will have to work harder, especially in fatal situations. The weather will likely be hot and players' fitness will be tested again. Needless to say, the chances of rain are slim. As was the case in the first two matches, splashing could be a factor, causing the ball to hit the bat a little better in the second half of the second half. Given this and the usual nature of the surface, the team hitting first must look for at least 170 passes on the board.Predicting RR vs CSK DREAM11Check out the Dream11 fantasy squad for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) match of 2020 which will be played between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings. Make sure to check the latest updated equipment right after checkout.RR VS CSK PLAYING 11WICKET-KEEPER: Sanju SamsonBATSMEN:o    Faf du Plessis (C)o    Ambati Rayudu (VC)o    Shane Watsono    Steve Smitho    Yashasvi JaiswalALL-ROUNDERS:o    Sam Currano    Ravindra JadejaBOWLERS:o    Lungi Ngidio    Jofra Archero    Shreyas GopalRR VS CSK BETTING TIPSThese are the early days of the tournament and most teams will be looking to form the right groups as soon as possible. By winning their previous game, the Super Kings will be cheerful. On the other hand, the Rajasthan Royals are not out on the field yet, and with Joss Butler and Ben Stokes absent, things have not started well for them. Also, Steve Smith hasn't played in a while due to concussion protocols and getting involved under the roof either. Since foreign unity was an important part of the royals' strategies, the absence of Butler and Stokes would be a factor. Given that and the fact that the Chennai Super Kings have already played and won a match, putting your points on winning the Super Kings should be the way to go on that next showdown. Our favorite bets:Top Hitter Team - Rajasthan Royals - Stephen Smith, 4 @ 1xBetWith Gus Butler and Ben Stokes absent, the onus is on Steve Smith to lead the team with the club. He is the most experienced player on the team and likely has a good number of installments available to play with. Steve Smith is an excellent spin and paced player, and it'd just be a matter of settling for big goals. There aren't many candidates other than him in the Royals field to score big points. This is an excellent bet with a good risk ratio.Highest Editorial Association - Rajasthan Royals, 1.85 @ BetwayIt looks like the opening duo of the Chennai Super Kings are undecided in their match against Mumbai and hopefully, it will happen again. Murali Vijay looked grumpy and Shane Watson had a slow start. Moreover, the duo will have Guofra Archer Bowling, who is in for a brilliant run in the England Series against Australia. On the one hand, the Royals' opening pair is likely new and better prepared to take on CSK's core basketball players.Total score (20 plus) - Ambati Roudou - 17.5 more, 1.83 in PetwayAmbati Rayudo looked great in the opening match and was named man of the match for his winning performance. Momentum and shape generally play a big role in this form of the game and Rayudu will be looking to get the most out of his look. With a superb shot from behind, he would slide with confidence and score more than 17 points which should be a walk in the park for him. When will the next wicket fall, Chennai Super Kings, Fall Of Wicket 1 - 20.5 Under, 1.83 @ 1xBetThis bet can be considered an extension of the second bet. The primary Chennai Super Kings duo is an Achilles heel and is unlikely to qualify in the next match. Rajasthan Royals has a decent new ball attack and picking up a small gate of irregular hitters shouldn't be a big challenge, especially given that these hitters don't have good match practice.Player Performance - MS Dhoni - Overall less than 33.5, 1.83 @ 1xBetNot likely to be a game in which huge totals are scored. Moreover, with the typical Ambati Rayudu and Faf du Plessis case, MS Dhoni is unlikely to be able to handle adequate deliveries. There is also the possibility that both Curran and Jadeja will be upgraded to lead him, mainly for a left-to-right combination in the middle. We saw MS Dhoni use these tactics in their first game, too. Given all these factors, the only real chance of earning MSD Points is behind logs and we don't think that earning many points is only possible through wicket maintenance. Sure, that sounds like a decent proposition for those looking to keep it safe. Read more: Dream11 IPL 2020- Location, Sponsers, Logo, Schedule, Squads, Prize Money

Three Major Changes in Big Bash League

The Annual Big Bash League has introduced three new terms of play that will be applicable starting with the upcoming 10th season beginning next month. Power Surge, X-Factor Player, and Bash Boost are the three new bases that Cricket Australia hopes to "exploit" the current situation of T20 cricket. Here are the three rules:Bash Boost: This is basically a bonus point that will be awarded to the team that is ahead of the race in the middle stage. For example, if team A scores 1/70 of a point 10 times past it and Team B scores 67/2 in the same stage, then the former will get a bonus point.X-Factor Player: In the first half, after the 10th player is thrown, the team may present a previous target player as the twelfth or thirteenth before kick-off. However, this X-Factor player can only replace someone who has yet to hit or has not offered more than one player.Power Surge: This will be a period of two where only players are allowed outside the inner field circuit. The hitting team may request her at any time after their last eleventh in turns. However, Powerplay's six overrun period has now been reduced to four.Aside from these major changes, winning teams will now receive three points instead of two, as was the practice in previous releases of BBL.CA advisor Trent Woodhill said such changes would improve the game.According to cricket.com.au, Woodhill said, "We need to innovate because people love change, but I think these (changes) will really improve the game itself." "I'm coming from a high-performance perspective, not just a gimmick, so I like these changes to pass the high-performance test on strategy and elite performance."Woodhill also feels this will make captains and coaches more accountable and accountable for their decisions."He'll pressure the leaders and coaches. Having played more than 300 T20 matches in the men's and women's games, the T20s have a pattern, and that will spoil that pattern away. The Indoor Athletics World Championships in Nanjing, China, has been postponed for a second time due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is now scheduled to be held in 2023.World Athletic said it made the decision with the organizers "with regret" as a result of the global health situation. The competition was to be held in Nanjing between March 19 and 21 next year. This was indeed a one-year delay, as the event was initially the 2020 Championship and was scheduled to take place from March 13-15.Work is now set for the Cube Gym in Nanjing Youth Olympic Park in 2023, as the Serbian capital, Belgrade has already been named the venue for the 2022 World Indoor Athletics Championships. The main indoor event was one of the first major sporting events to be moved due to the COVID-19 crisis, which originated in China when World Athletics announced the original delay in late January. The fact that it was postponed again after nearly a year clearly demonstrates just how severe the pandemic's impact on the global sport is."We regret that we have agreed with the organizers of the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Nanjing to postpone the event until March 2023," she said.“While we have been coordinating with the Organizing Committee and the Chinese Athletics Association to assess the launch of the tournament over the past few weeks, given the current global situation, there is still a great deal of uncertainty about the status of the COVID-19 pandemic in the first part of 2021.“For the safety of athletes and technical officials, we must give due consideration to the dangers of bringing a large group of people to attend the event in case of a pandemic and fully respect the epidemic prevention policy and its implementation in the host country.“The indoor sports season is within a tight time frame (until the end of March), so the event cannot be extended later in the year.“We would like Nanjing to host our Indoor World Championships due to the extensive planning and preparation they put into this event, so we agreed that they will host the event one year after the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade. In 2022.Despite this postponement, our athletes will continue to have important competitive opportunities available in the first part of 2021 through the Inbound World Tour, which includes 26 meetings spread over 12 countries in Europe and North America."The indoor world tour runs from the end of January until the end of February 2021 and is organized into three different levels of competition: gold, silver, and bronze."Also Read: FIS ALPINE WORLD SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021 IN CORTINA CONFIRMED

The target can be scored with any part of the body except the hand or arm up to the shoulder. The target itself consists of a tire that is 8 feet high and 8 yards wide.Winning the gameTo win, you have to score more goals than your opponents. If the results are equal after 90 minutes, the match will end in a draw, with the exception of cup matches, where the game can go into extra time and even penalties to determine the winner. Players must use their feet to kick the ball and are prohibited from using their hands other than goalkeepers who can use any part of their body within the 18-yard area (more of which can be found in the next section).Football Rules (Football)A match consists of two 45-minute halves with a 15-minute rest period in between. Each team can have a minimum of 11 players (including one goalkeeper who is the only player authorized to handle the ball within the 18-yard area) and it takes at least 7 players to make up a game. The field should be made of natural or artificial grass. Playgrounds can vary in size but should be 100-130 meters long and 50-100 meters wide. The court should also be marked with a rectangle around the outside showing off-limits, two six-yard boxes, two 18-yard boxes, and a center circle. The point of a penalty kick is placed 12 yards from the two goals and the center circle must also be visible. The ball should have a circumference of 58-61 cm and be circular in shape. Each team can name up to 7 substitute players. Substitutions can be made at any time during the match, each team can make a maximum of 3 substitutions per team. If all three substitutions are made and a player has to leave the field due to injury, the team will be forced to play without a replacement for that player. Each game must include a referee and two assistant referees (line referees). The referee's job is to act as a timekeeper and take any decisions that need to be made, such as fouls, free kicks, throw-ins, and penalties, and add them on time at the end of each run. The referee may consult the assistant referees at any time during the match regarding the decision. The assistant referee's job is to detect offside in the match (see below), take throw-ins for either team, and also assist the referee in all decision-making as appropriate. If the game requires extra time as a result of the two teams being tied in the match, 30 minutes will be added in the form of 15-minute halves after the allocated 90 minutes. If the teams are still tied after extra time, then penalties must be taken. The entire ball must cross the goal line to become a goal. For fouls committed, the player can get a yellow or red card depending on the severity of the foul; This is up to the judge's discretion. Yellow is a warning and a red card is sent off for that player. Two yellow cards equal one red. Once a player has been ejected, he cannot be replaced. If the ball goes out of play from an opponent on either side of the line, it is awarded as a throw-in. If an attacking player goes out of play at the baseline, this is a goal kick. If you come out of the defender it is a corner kick.Offside rule in footballIt can be called offside when the attacking player is in front of the last defender when passing the pass. The offside zone is designed to discourage players from just hanging around the opponent's goal waiting for a pass. To be offside, they must be behind the last defender when the ball is played to them. If the player is in front of the last defender, he will be considered offside and a free kick will be awarded to the defending team.A player may not fall offside in his own half. A goalkeeper is not considered a defense. If the ball is played backward and the player is in front of the last defender, it is not considered an offside. Also Read: Roger Federer chooses rest, withdraws from French Open

World champion Roger Federer announced, on Sunday, his withdrawal from the 2021 French Open before the fourth-round match in Paris. Federer was about to face ninth seed Matteo Berrettini in a semi-final match after winning the first three rounds of the Grand Slam on clay.Roger Federer underwent two knee surgeries last year that kept him out for most of the tour. The 39-year-old played the Australian Open last year and only returned to the Grand Slam at Roland Garros.Federer opened his career by defeating Denis Istomin. He beat former US Open champion Marin Cilic in four sets in his second-round match and put up a heroic effort against German Dominic Kupfer in front of the empty stands at Philippe Chatrier in a late-night match on Saturday. The 27-year-old German pressured him hard, but the 20-time Grand Slam champion kept his composure to win the match in 4 sets.Federer did not participate in the French Open last year. He had reached the semi-finals in 2019, which was also his first major appearance on clay in 4 years."After discussion with my team, I have decided to withdraw from the French Open today," Federer said on a social media site on Sunday."After two knee surgeries and over a year of rehab, it's important that I listen to my body and make sure I don't stress myself on my way to recovery."I'm excited to have 3 matches under my belt. There is no better feeling than to be back on the pitch. See you all soon."Federer admitted on Saturday that he was not sure if he would be on the field on Monday for the fourth-round match. Federer said he would receive a call after an argument with his team."We are going through these matches ... we analyze them well and look at what follows and we will do the same tonight and tomorrow," he said."Because I have to decide whether or not to keep playing, or it's not at the moment risky to keep pushing or it's just a perfect way to just relax."Federer had returned to competitive play in March in Qatar, where he was ousted in the quarter-finals. He began his preparations for the French Open at the Geneva Open last month but struggled with a first-round exit against Spaniard Pablo Andujar.Meanwhile, French Open director Guy Forget wished Federer luck for the rest of the season."We were all happy to see him again in Paris, where he played three first-class matches. We wish him all the best for the rest of the season." Forget what was said.Federer is expected to play two grasscourt tournaments ahead of Wimbledon 2021, which he scored earlier in the season. The 39-year-old is also likely to represent Switzerland at the Tokyo Olympics later this year.ALSO READ: Naomi Osaka Fined For Media Boycott, Could Face Expulsion From French Open

Lionel Messi finally signed his long-awaited contract with PSG on Tuesday night to complete the move and confirm the end of a long-term relationship with FC. Barcelona sends Paris Saint-Germain into a new era.Paris Saint-Germain said in a statement that the 34-year-old Argentine star had signed a two-year contract with the option for a third season. "I am excited to start a new chapter of my career at Paris Saint-Germain," said Messi. "Everything at the club matches my football ambitions. I know how talented the team and the coaching staff are here. I am determined to help build something special for the club and the fans, and I can't wait to stepping out onto the pitch at the parc des princes. Salary details were not disclosed, but a person familiar with the negotiations previously told The Associated Press that Messi will receive about 35 million euros ($ 41 million) from his net worth annually. The person said on condition of anonymity before signing the contract. "I am delighted that Lionel Messi has chosen to join Paris Saint-Germain and we are proud to welcome him and his family to Paris," said Nasser Al-Khelaifi president of Paris Saint-Germain. "He has made no secret of his desire to continue competing at the highest level and winning titles, and of course our ambition as a team is to do the same."Crowds of Paris Saint-Germain fans gathered at Paris Le Bourget airport to greet Messi, who wore a jersey with the slogan "Ici c'est Paris" ("This is Paris").The words are a longtime familiar refrain from a favored fan chant at Parc des Princes stadium, where Messi is to be presented to them before kickoff of Saturday night's game against Strasbourg. So excited was his arrival that police had to push him to prevent the airport's metal barriers from falling down as fans rushed forward to get a better view. He then traveled to Paris, escorted by a police escort, which included several officers on motorcycles, all dressed in black at the rear. When the disbelief of relegation to one of the greatest footballers of all time became a sensation, many gathered to catch a glimpse of Messi on the field. They got their wish when the smiling star briefly greeted them before undergoing a medical examination. Earlier, Messi's father and agent, Jorge, also confirmed that his son was moving to Paris Saint-Germain in a brief exchange with reporters at Josep Taradillas Barcelona's El Prat airport, before boarding his flight in afternoon.Messi arrived with his wife and his three children and boarded a private jet."With all that, towards a new adventure. All five together," said Antonella Roccuzzo on Instagram with a photo of her with her husband on the plane.PSG supporters have witnessed their club's transformation over the past decade since the arrival of sovereign investments from Qatar tied to the emir. Once Messi's contract with Barcelona expired and the Catalan club couldn't retain him, Paris Saint-Germain was one of the few clubs that was able to finance a deal to sign the world's best player six times.Messi's arrival gives Paris Saint-Germain massive attacking options, as he is linked with World Cup winner Kylian Mbappé and Brazilian forward Neymar.Neymar posted on Instagram a video of the two hugging and playing for Barcelona: "back together."While PSG had to pay 222 million euros (then $261 million) to sign Neymar from Barcelona in 2017, there was no transfer fee for Messi. Messi has become the most desiered free agent in football history after his attempts to stay at Barcelona were rejected last week by the Spanish League because his salary did not meet financial regulations, with the Catalan club heavily in debt. 1.2 billion euros (1.4 million dollars)  And soon, Mauricio Pochettino, coach of Paris Saint-Germain, got in touch with his Argentine after Barcelona announced last Thursday that Messi would be leaving the club, he joined at age 13. Messi won every major title with Barcelona and was granted a emotional press conference on Sunday to mark the end of an era.Only Cristiano Ronaldo in the current era challenges Messi's status as the greatest of all time. Paris Saint-Germain is hoping not only that Messi will help the team regain the French title it lost to Lille last season, but that it will ultimately win the Champions League. If Pochettino used the 4-3-3 method, the three in front could see Messi on the right. What should be less demanding is Paris Saint-Germain's compliance with the UEFA Financial Fair Play Rules. Some flexibility in the rules has been provided due to the pandemic and the changes are due to the system that is designed to stop losses. Paris Saint-Germain President Al-Khelaifi,as President of the Association of European Clubs and a member of the UEFA Executive Committee, is involved in the process of discussing a broader update of the FFP that could once again allow a spending without control. Also Read- Olympics: Rowers Arjun and Arvind finish eleventh in lightweight Double sculls in Tokyo

Billion-dollar online gaming industry seeks clarity on valuation, taxation

The online gaming industry is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22% to $ 2 billion by 2023, up from $ 906 million in 2019, according to a report by the All India Games Federation (AIGF) and EY India. Driven largely by a young tech-savvy population, wide internet coverage, better performing smartphones at affordable prices. India is now the fifth largest online gaming market in the world and is expected to grow even further after. of the digitization caused by Covid-19. virus. Online games are also the fourth largest sub-segment of the media and entertainment industry. The report stated that online game players are expected to grow from 360 million in 2020 to 510 million in 2022. While real money online game players are expected to grow from 80 million in 2020 to 150 million in 2023. The results revealed that by creating more than 11,000 jobs, the esports sector is estimated to generate around $ 100 billion in economic value for India between 2021 and 2025, including investments, in-app purchases and profits. Looking at the industry growth prospects, the report also looks at the effects of GST and obstacles that could affect the industry's business operations. He said that the tax rate should not exceed 20% as this could lead to gaming operators and consumers not joining the government licensing system and entering the gray market.  Online games operate on a "fee" model in which the gaming platform charges additional fees to facilitate play or "freemium" models where play is free, but additional features may require the user to purchase certain items from an immediate price. The report said that the rational imposition of a GST is important for the sustainability of the industry. The vast majority of countries tax the online gaming industry at or below standard GST / VAT rates. The most common mode of taxation is based on commissions (platform fees) earned by industry players in markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and EU countries (except France). In some countries (e g South Africa, Singapore and Australia), a credit model is followed in which the total value of bets is taxed at a discretionary discount allowed on payments (prizes) made to players. "Valuation disputes under the Goods and Services Tax Act (GST) have been daunting for the industry. Most importantly, regressive taxes for these emerging sectors can make companies unsustainable in India. Our recommendation is that tax authorities should align their policies with internationally accepted tax principles. In the industry, online games provide certainty to the industry. " The report highlighted the much-discussed issue of the legality of online gaming in India and stated that various higher courts across the country have held that Rummy, Poker, and Fantasy Sports are games of skill and do not amount to gambling. Electronic sports must also qualify as a game of skill by applying the principles established by the courts. EY partner Bipin Sapra said: "The government needs to state & clarify that games of skill like games of rummy, fantasy, poker, etc., which are different from games of chance like lottery, gambling, Random games are taxed at the GST rate. Normal services will be 18% and the taxable value is the platform fee or commission fee. Clarifying this meaning would give certainty to the industry and encourage more investment in this sector ". Also Read- Lionel Messi signs two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain after leaving Barcelona

If Sumit is allowed to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics, he will compete against countryman Neeraj Chopra, who recently won gold medal in men's javelin throw at the Tokyo Olympics. Interestingly, as the son of a JWO officer in the Indian Army, Antel competed against Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra in the able-bodied 3rd series of the Indian Grand Prix on March 5 at Patiala, where he finished seventh with a best throw of 66.43 meters. On Tuesday, Antel broke the previous world record of 62.88 meters, which is also set by him, five times a day. His last throw was a foul. His series read 66.95, 68.08, 65.27, 66.71, 68.55 and foul. Also Read- Shooter Avani Lekhara First Indian Woman To Win Gold At Paralympics"At the 2019 World Para-Athletics Championships, I settled for silver. "During the pandemic, I got special permission from the Sports Authority of India to train at home. I was prepared for all conditions - hot and humid. I trained late at night and this paid off well," said Antel, who hails from Sonepat. The Haryana athlete now hopes that Paralympic gold will give him a job once he returns to India. Pakistan national team coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis resigned from their positions with the national team on Monday due to citing bio-bubble fatigue The decision helps to raise the eyebrows, since there is only one month left for T20 World Cup. Misbah and Waqar had one year left on their contracts after being appointed in September 2019. Notably, on Monday Pakistan announced their squad for the T20 World Cup and home series against New Zealand and England. Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis reported their decisions to the PCB on Monday.Meanwhile, Pakistan has appointed former spinner Saqlain Mushtaq and former all-rounder Abdul Razzak as temporary coaches for New Zealand Series. The Black Caps team, currently in Bangladesh, will play 3 ODI and 5 T20I matches in September and October. The Pakistani team is scheduled to assemble for their training camp on September 8. The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed that the support staff for the T20 World Cup will be appointed in the near future.'Don't think I am in the right frame of mind for upcoming challenges'Misbah-ul-Haq, who had to be quarantined in the West Indies for an extended period after testing positive for Covid-19, admitted that the timing of his decision was not right but he had to take the call to spend time with his family. "The quarantine in Jamaica post the West Indies series provided me with an opportunity to reflect on the past 24 months as well as the schedule for international cricket ahead. Considering that I would have had to continue to spend considerable time away from my family and that too in a bio-secure environment, I have decided to step down from the role," Misbah said, as quoted by a PCB statement. "I understand that the timing may not be ideal, but I don't think I'm in the right frame of mind for the upcoming challenges and it makes sense for someone new to step in and take the side forward."Also Read- ICC T20 World Cup 2021 complete schedule: India to face Pakistan on October 24 Decided to step down together: Waqar YounisWaqar Younis said he decided to step down after Misbah communicated his decision to him. “After Misbah informed me of his decision and his future plans, it was easy for me to resign as we had walked into the roles together, we worked collectively as a pair and now also step down together. LaLiga will not be weakened by Lionel Messi's exit, says ex-Real Madrid player Fernando Morientes

La Liga may be shorn of its biggest name in Lionel Messi who left FC Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain but former Real Madrid player Fernando Morientes feels the Spanish league would not be "weakened" by the exit of the Argentine maestro.Messi joined Paris Saint-Germain's club last month is not the only high-profile exit from La Liga. In the last five seasons, players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Sergio Ramos have left Real Madrid or Barcelona."La Liga throughout its history has lost players, just like any other league... It is nothing new. Cristiano left, Neymar left, Messi and Ramos have also left," Morientes, who is also the La Liga ambassador, said during a virtual media interaction."Footballers will eventually leave, but clubs will stay. La Liga doesn't sell itself through a single player. La Liga is never going to have a problem to sell itself as a competition"."La Liga has done a spectacular job attempting to attract the best players to make it as competitive as always been."Morientes said it's an opportunity for the Spanish clubs to prove themselves at the marquee Champions League.“I would like to see a Spanish final in fact, because there are many people who think that Messi's departure has weakened the league. We have to show that this is not the case. Also Read- Lionel Messi signs two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain after leaving Barcelona"In the last 10-15 years, La Liga teams have always been very competitive in all European competitions. And I'm convinced this coming season the Spanish teams will demonstrate their true potential in this competition," said the former Spanish center-forward.The 45-year-old said it was the responsibility of the clubs to change, adapt and sign great players."La Liga will continue to be a really attractive league that will bring in new players and I'm sure there are great players who will want to play here," said Morientes, who played 183 games for Real Madrid between 1997 and 2005."The Spanish league is strong enough to be attractive to everyone. I am convinced that you in India will continue to follow the league and continue to follow our teams as fans and not just as individual players."On the prospect of 'El Clasico' without Messi and Ronaldo, he said: "Real Madrid and Barcelona at the end of the day are much more than just two players. It's true that both Cristiano and Messi have made history in Spanish football."Obviously we would like to have players of this level. But we must remember that the rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona goes back many years, and Messi and Ronaldo are not always at the club." Also Read- Cristiano Ronaldo becomes all-time highest goalscorer in international football with brace against Ireland

Taliban set to ban womens sports in Afghanistan, claims report

The Taliban said on Wednesday (September 8) that Afghan women cannot participate in sports, including cricket because sports activities "would expose their bodies." Ahmadullah Wasiq, deputy director of the Taliban's cultural committee, told the media that sports activities were not necessary for women. Earlier this week, the Taliban decreed that only a woman teacher would teach female students but if that was not possible then ‘old men’ of good character could fill in. “I don't think women will be allowed to play cricket because it is not necessary that women should play cricket. In cricket, they might face a situation where their face and body will not be covered. Islam does not allow women to be seen like this. It is the media era, and there will be photos and videos, and then people watch it. Islam and the Islamic Emirate do not allow women to play cricket or play the kind of sports where they get exposed,” said Ahmadullah Wasiq, the deputy head of the Taliban's cultural commission, in an interview. In November 2020, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) awarded contracts to 25 female cricketers. It also held a 21-day training camp for 40 female cricketers in Kabul. The International Cricket Council (ICC) requires its twelve members to have a women's national team and only full members of the ICC are permitted to play Test matches. Also Read- Afghan national team footballer Zaki Anwari dies in fall from US plane at Kabul airport When asked if no women’s cricket would mean ICC calling off the Hobart Test, Wasiq said the Taliban would not compromise. “Even for this, if we face challenges and problems, we have fought for our religion so that Islam is to be followed. We will not cross Islamic values even if it carries opposite reactions. We will not leave our Islamic rules.”Cricket Australia threaten to cancel Hobart Test against Afghanistan Meanwhile, Cricket Australia said it would not host Afghanistan for its first historic Test at Hobart if media reports about the women's team without the support of the Taliban are true. "Driving the growth of women's cricket is extremely important to Cricket Australia. Our vision for cricket is that it is a sport for all and we support the game unequivocally for women at every level," Cricket Australia statement on Thursday September 9. Medvedev wins US Open to end Djokovic calendar Grand Slam bid

A match from the end of his bid for what would have been the calendar's first Grand Slam tournament in men's tennis since 1969, Novak Djokovic covered his face with a towel, hiding his tears during the changeover. In 27 Grand Slam matches in 2021, on hard courts, clay courts and grass, Djokovic is unbeatable. Needing one more victory, in Sunday's US Open final against Daniil Medvedev, to complete a season sweep for major titles and claim his 21st career record, Djokovic couldn't pull it off.Outplayed by someone using a similar style to his own, Djokovic came up just short of those two historic milestones, losing 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to first-time major champion Medvedev at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Also Read- Novak Djokovic outlives Stefanos Tsitsipas at French Open to win nineteenth majorA simply stunning performance from @DaniilMedwed pic.twitter.com/0sF1r2CiNg— US Open Tennis (@usopen) September 12, 2021No.1 ranked Djokovic had been sublime in the sport's top four tournaments, enduring the burdens of expectations and pressure for the past seven months and, in New York, the past two weeks. He beat Medvedev in the Australian Open final in February, then added titles at the French Open in June and Wimbledon in July.He made mistakes, 38 inadvertent mistakes in all. He couldn't convert the chance of a break until it was too small, too late, going just 1 for 6. He also showed frustration, destroying his racket by hitting it three times against the court after one point, drawing boos from the crowd of 25,703 and a code violation from chair umpire Damien Dumusois. List of players to defeat Novak Djokovic in a Grand Slam in 2021:Daniil Medvedev-end of list-— US Open Tennis (@usopen) September 12, 2021Much of Djokovic's troubles had to do with No. 2 ranked Medvedev, who used his 6-foot-6(1.98meter) frame to chase everything and respond with seemingly effortless groundstrokes, in the same way. that Djokovic wears down foes, and delivered pinpoint serving. Medvedev won 20 of his first 23 service points, forming a pattern. He finished with 16 aces and 38 winners in total, 11 wins more than Djokovic. After overcoming several double faults at match point, Medvedev finally finished the job, then toppled over to the court on his side. Djokovic reached the 31st Grand Slam final, equaling the record of six victories on the hard court at Flushing Meadows. But he couldn't get the last thing he needed. He remains tied with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal with 20 major titles. And the last man to complete a true Grand Slam going 4-4 at the majors in a single season remains Rod Laver, who did it twice, in 1962 and 1969, and was in the stands on Sunday. The last woman to achieve this feat was Steffi Graf in 1988. Instead, Djokovic joined Jack Crawford in 1933 and Lew Hoad in 1956 as men who won the first three Grand Slam tournaments over a year and reached the U.S. Open final before losing. Djokovic came out a bit cold Sunday, double faulted in each of his first two service games and mixed enough groundstroke fouls bowing his head or rolling his eyes after some that 12 minutes, Medvedev was a point from a second break and a 3-0 lead. Djokovic eventually used a couple of aces at 117 mph and 124 mph to hold there, but it was Medvedev who stole the show in the early going. It was the fifth consecutive match in which Djokovic lost the first set, and 11th in Grand Slam play this year, but unlike other cases, he was unable to win again. This moment though pic.twitter.com/dgvqLMpdBv— US Open Tennis (@usopen) September 12, 2021Djokovic got to love-40 in Medvedev’s first service game of the second set but did not come through on any of those break points. On the third, Djokovic put a sliced backhand in the net, then pounded his racket against his left thigh — one, two, three, four times, perhaps as disappointed in his footwork as anything. Thousands of fans tried to reinforce him by chanting his nickname "No-Le! No-Le! No-Le!" After some of Medvedev's mistakes, some in the stands would applaud, considered poor form in tennis and repeatedly admonished with a “please” from Dumusois. Also Read- Taliban set to ban womens sports in Afghanistan, claims report
